I am currently working with two companies that provide in-home care to clients. In comparing the two, I am very confident in the way Visiting Angels does business. They care about their staff and the clients. They have a policy that whenever it is possible the CNA should meet the client before the first solo visit. This provides an opportunity for the CNA to get familiar with the client and to interact with the current CNA if there is one. This provides a depth of understanding to both the CNA and the client. I also prefer their software used to the rack the care of the client. It provides an opportunity for insight to be shared with the company and other staff members who interact with the client. I have used this to great effect to gain insights into how I might best serve the client. It facilitates understanding.

I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer shortly after being hired by Visiting Angels. They took care of me, sent me flowers and welcomed me back with wide open arms once I was better. Since then they have done everything in their power to make sure I feel safe, supported, and secure as a HCA. Throughout all of the process to get my HCA license every staff member in the office at Visiting Angels was helpful and quick to answer any questions and to celebrate with me when I was one step closer. I can honestly say I have never felt more supported in my decade of working as I have working for visiting Angels.

Although we never actually used 'Visiting Angels', due to our loved ones' choice to manage his own health care for now, our initial interview & care plan was created in a kind, compassionate, professional manner, while specific to our needs.
