Visiting Angels was a literal godsend for us. Their loving care and kindness allowed us to keep mom in her home as long as possible and gave us peace of mind during my husband chemo. A special shoutout to Jessi and Bev! Thanks you Angels!

Visiting Angels provides excellent care to my elderly parents, on top of the hospice care provided by others. Their main charge is to make sure Mom and Dad are eating enough. This has been a lifesaver and allows “the kids” to relax and just enjoy the time together.

October 2023 My parents live in Salt Lake City, Utah, about 2,000 miles from me. When my mother first told me she needed help taking care my father who at the time was suffering from advanced Alzheimer's with dementia, red flags immediately went up in my head. Unfortunately, negative newsworthy events such as petty theft, elder abuse and or elder manipulation are far too common. I knew she needed help as dad’s care was 24/7/365 and he absolutely couldn’t be left alone. The disease progressed to the point she could no longer take him with her to run the most minor essential errands. Essentially, he had become a 190 lbs unpredictable two year old without any ability to be rational or reason. It was bad. When I raised security concerns over some unknown person(s) entering the home, she told me a friend of hers had once worked for Visiting Angels. Mom is tough, drill sergeant tough when she needs to be. I asked her to grill her friend on everything she knew about Visiting Angels prior to making any commitments. Their conversation must of gone well, as mom scheduled an initial interview with a representative at their home. Visiting Angels representative Elizabeth Garfield was extremely accommodating even when my sister joined the meeting in person and I via phone call. At this point, I was 100% impressed by the professionalism of the representative. The two way interview meeting went off well. A few days later, mom committed to receiving help on a limited basis in their home. Visiting representatives provide intelligent conversation with mom. They took dad for short walks, made him lunch and even did some light cleaning. Having a VA in their home allowed mom to go grocery shopping, attend doctors appointments, have the car serviced and perform other tasks. Two or three times a week, I would hear from my very critical thinking mother about how great the person had been. Eventually, my skeptical wall was lowered. Having Visiting Angels was truly a God send for my mother and our family. The representatives proved to be trustworthy, friendly, professional and caring. They were exceptionally helpful at a critical time in all our lives. I cannot say enough good about the staff. The organization is aptly named; Visiting Angels. If you think you might have the need, I encourage you to at the very least explore the options available to you as we could not have been more pleased with the experience. Mark S., ~ Florida

I have been very pleased with Visiting Angels. They have saved my life more times than I can count. I am a diabetic and in a wheelchair. I especially want to thank Heather. She has done an amazing job and cleans my house better than I ever could. When my sugar drops it can be very dangerous and my Visiting Angels take good care of me. Even when my sugars drop I can get cross but Heather just prompts me to eat and takes it with a grain of salt and she stays kind. Patti gets me ready for church on Sundays and is wonderful. She helps me pick out nice clothes and makes sure I look nice. Patti and Heather both make sure I eat and have snacks available to keep my sugars well.

I am very grateful for Liz and the caregivers she put in place for my Mom. She worked hard to find my Mom the best care possible. It hasn’t been easy to find the care my Mom was most comfortable with but she always kept trying to get her the right person. We have some amazing caregivers in the evening. Sharon, Kelsey and Rachel have been phenomenal with working with my Mom. They have all been very reliable, positive, always on time and willing to do whatever is needed for my Mom. Then Liz found a day time caregiver who was also the perfect match for my Mom. Amy….we adore her. She and my Mom have connected so well. Amy has been such a positive bright light for my Mom during the day. She is always on time, very reliable, always willing to help in whatever capacity and most of all happy and positive with my Mom. I always hear them laughing and singing together as I’m working downstairs. So grateful for Amy, Sharon, Kelsey and Rachel. Truly they all have been lifesavers and the best caregivers my Mom has had. Huge shout to Liz as well for her enduring positivity and caring soul as we were finding the right fit for my Mom. She was always empathetic as well and I appreciated that. She truly worked so hard and went the extra mile finding my Mom the right care and ensuring we were taken care of. Thank you Liz and my Mom’s caregivers. You all are truly amazing and we are so grateful!!
