We used Visiting Angels for our Mom who was transitioning from Skilled Nursing Care to home following an unexpected major surgery. We were looking for extra caring help for our Mom who needed a little more support with the transition home. While it was a temporary need, it was such a great support as our Mom gained more strength and independence as the weeks went on. Her Angel, Teresa, was just that, an angel! The Coordinators, Nicole and Leticia, were such a great help in getting us started and being available when we had questions or needed to switch the schedule. Their compassion and support, especially as we were getting started, was so very appreciated during a time that was so stressful. I would. highly recommend them!

The caregivers are very good with my parents and worked to build the trust needed to assist them. The office staff are great to work with and so understanding of the unexpected challenges that come with the elderly. We couldn't do this without them!

I had reverse shoulder surgery in January. After surgery, I had to wear a sling on my dominant arm for several weeks. During that time, I was not able to use that arm for anything, including bathing, dressing, doing laundry, etc. Shortly before my surgery, I contacted Visiting Angels. Letitia helped me through the process and assigned a real angel to me. My angel was Roxane Shellenberger. She did everything for me including helping me get ready for my shower, drying me off, helping me get dressed, fixing meals for me, doing laundry and grocery shopping. I am a bit of a perfectionist, but Roxane quickly got used to my systems and basically began to do things as soon as she arrived. Once I started PT, she drove me over, then went back to my house to do what needed to be done. I could not have progressed as quickly as I did without the help of Visiting Angels/Roxane. They were a blessing to me!

My 97 year old mother was fiercely independent and insisted on living on her own. Luckily her townhouse was very close to our house, but we had a vacation scheduled and wanted someone to visit and care for her while we were away. I reached out to Kristie at Visiting Angels and she found the perfect caregiver for Mom. Her name is Teresa and Mom truly connected with her. We were able to be away without worry. After we returned we had Teresa continue on for a bit, too. We were very pleased with Kristie who was very kind and caring. Overall, our experience with Visiting Angels of Harrisburg was very positive.

Fabulous to deal with, When my grandfather needed care in home. Nicole got care set up quickly and made the process very easy. The caregivers we great as well going above and beyond to make my grandfather comfortable with the transition to in home care. Would highly recommend Visiting Angels!!
