The staff at the vineyard was nice and helpful. They brought us a fan because it was scorching hot in there and they brought us two chairs so that we could sit down and visit seems as though the rooms are not equipped with anything. It looks like it is under construction on the one wing and that it is just been partially done and then forgot about.

The facility looks very outdated. Particularly the Carpeting. However, the Nurses on board are very attentive to the Patient's needs.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Vineyards of Fowler. Communication has been incredibly poor—calls go unanswered, and messages are not returned in a timely manner, if at all. When I finally received a call back from a social worker, I was told that because my brother signed out AMA (Against Medical Advice), they are refusing to take him back as a patient and will not provide any referral. I asked for clarification to be sure I understood correctly, and I was told yes—despite the fact that my brother is disabled, vulnerable, and currently homeless. From my understanding, signing out AMA does not eliminate a patient’s right to receive care, especially if they return with a new or urgent medical need. Refusing care or even a referral under these circumstances raises serious concerns about patient safety and ethical responsibility. If you are unable or unwilling to treat a patient, the least that should be done is to provide guidance or a referral to ensure they are not left without options—especially someone in such a vulnerable condition. I truly hope this facility improves its communication and reconsider how situations like this are handled, because no family should be left feeling this unsupported in a time of need.

If someone would just answer the phone or return , a call , that would be so great. So I received a call back from the social worker at vineyards, and he's saying that, since my son signed AMA that they are not taking him back as a patient, and I said so let's be clear you are refusing to take him back. You are refusing for any kind of referral. Knowing that he is disabled, vulnerable and on the street homeless and he said yes, but when I look up AMA it says that if a person signs an AMA that they are allowed to return, if they have A new emergency. And need Care and to not treat them is abandonment of care. If you don't wanna him at your the facility, I understand that, but to not even give us any referrals or give us any guidance of what to do.That's just mean. Is there more going on that they're not telling us?

This place is run by itself. Seems like there is no one in charge. Some residents have been kept waiting up to one hour and forty five minutes asking to go to the restroom. They claim it was because they were having a staff meeting. They all come out with cupcakes and snacks. It's a free for all circus including the social workers.
