The quality of care is excellent. In stark contrast, the business side of Christian Care Communities and Village Manor is unresponsive to questions and concerns…and borderline untruthful.

The staff in short-term skilled nursing, including the therapists, were excellent and helped my mother get back to her skill level to go back to assisted living.

They discriminate against visitors and have treated my grandmother like dirt. 0/10. Would sue if I could.

My Grandma was one of the first people to move to Village Manor. She enjoyed living there and the people. We preferred the old management; the new one is still learning the ropes. Some aspects of the living logistics are frustrating, including the process of getting our money back after she passed away, if that's part of your contract (for us, it has taken 5 months so far). For example, it's also difficult to get calls or requests returned, and it took months for the staff to fix maintenance issues in her Apartment sometimes. Great food though and really sweet kitchen staff. It's also really nice Village Manor had a place for Grandma to exercise, get her hair done, sing or play piano every week for Church, and and in general to make some friends.

I am an independent living resident at Village Manor. My apartment was completely refurbished according to my taste before I moved in to my apartment. This included paint, flooring, light fixtures, new appliances, etc. Once my own furniture and accessories were in place, my apartment felt like home. I have a living room, dining room, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, den, utility room, and fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher. When I moved here about a year ago I was welcomed by my neighbors, particularly those in my building. I am a people person and enjoy the opportunities to interact with others. If I participated in all of the many activities available here each day I would be exhausted. I make a point of participating in many VM activities, but I also continue to be involved in community groups that I have enjoyed for many years. On some days I choose to stay inside my apartment, and when I do no one interrupts my quiet time. I prepare most of my own meals, but if I decide to give myself a break it is very convenient to go to the cafe. Breakfast is complimentary and other meals are reasonably priced. Friendly conversation abounds around the tables and residents “solve the problems of the world” over a meal. Another plus I should mention is maintenance. Whenever there is a problem, I call in a work request and someone appears quickly to resolve the issue. Staff and residents are friendly and helpful. Village Manor is not perfect all of the time, but for me, moving here was an excellent decision. I am happy here!
