5 stars isn’t enough to express how awesome this place is. When I took my adopted father there, his eye had a light in them that I haven’t seen in a very long time. Happy faces everywhere. We were greeted by Brian as if we were the most import people he was seeing that day. I highly recommend Village Concepts.

There are so few reviews for such an important decision, I wanted to share my experience with Woodland Village.  I LOVED the facility, the administrators, the activities, and everything about this place.  My Mom asked to be moved there from a small AFH she'd been living in for a year.  To try another 'living experience'. Which, if you've researched the options, are quite different. I had the hopes that she would thrive, become more physically and more importantly socially active. Which, she said she could. For my Mom though, 'could' and 'would' are carefully chosen words. Woodland not only provided, but actively encouraged and promoted a ton of activities and social events that would make anyone feel fortunate to be there.  They truly did go above and beyond to give my Mom every chance to live a life to a full, happy extent. Unfortunately, after 2 months, Mom dug in her heels and refused to do anything other than lay in her bed after each meal, which she was able to do, because it is an Assisted Care vs. a more 'regimented' AFH, where they would not allow that. Mom being able to self-isolate was not going to be healthy at all, so I had to move her back to where she had the 'direction' that she needs. I really think that Woodland is an awesome place to have a loved one who still wants a quality life.  The current Administrative staff (Kiersten/Alexandria) blew me away with their competency doing their jobs. Very efficient, accomplished and were always there for me, in trying to best help Mom. For any elder person who still wants to live a social and active life, I'd say this is a great place to do so.

I moved my dad out of your facility today. Honestly, I wish I would have moved him out much sooner. A week after I mentioned to the staff about him and his room smelling of urine, it still smelled of urine today. 3 months after a rude discussion with one of your staff about my dad, James Adcock not wearing his briefs, only to end up paying more for a "more concentrated attention to detail" of him wearing briefs, he still was not wearing briefs today when I picked him up. My observations of your staff in the "memory care" of your facility leave much to be desired. They treat the residents there with little to no attention, almost to the point of neglect, which I have concluded to be what my dad received while being a resident there. Your facility may claim that you have "activities" for your residents, but in the 18 months my dad was there, I never saw any in memory care. My conclusion is that there is no mental or physical stimulation provided to the memory care residents. I am thoroughly disgusted with what my dad received while being there and disappointed in myself for not moving him out of there sooner.

This facility has helped our family through a very stressful time. Malorie went above and beyond to help find a placement for our family member even though it was out of town. They are so kind and helpful! Definitely an amazing facility!!!

Woodland Village is a wonderful place. My mom has been here 5 years and I couldn't find a better place for her. The staff is very friendly and caring from the housekeepers, dining room, handyman, hairdressers, management and the residents. It was sold last year and they kept the mgmt which has made it seamless. 5 STARS
