We held off for years in placing dad in Memory Care. We thought it best for him to be at home with a relative. I wish we had made this move YEARS ago. I LOVE Village @ Valley View in Ashland, OR. My dad is so well cared for. Every time I stop in to see him I'm impressed with how caring and loving all the employees are. They're so patient. They have activities going, music, yummy food. I've never come in and had the facility or my dad smell dirty. My dad talks about how much he likes "working" there. He says it's such a peaceful place. If I could give 10 stars I would.
****EDIT. Dad has passed January of 2026.
I can't state enough how much we've enjoyed the staff and the care they gave dad. I will truly miss the residents and staff. I enjoyed my time visiting there....always clean, always friendly. Not only that, but during his passing days they were so kind and actually did an honor walk for my dad as he was taken away.

We (I and 4 others) have a musical group that performs at 9 different memory care facilities in the Rogue Valley 3 times a year so I am well acquainted with each facility. This is the best of all 9 facilities. Extremely attentive staff. It is obvious that this staff really cares for each member of their community. This would be my premier choice for a loved one with memory problems.

I went in to visit my grandma and breakfast was an hour late.
the cook walked out of the kitchen in fleece pajamas and a red snow jacket.
No professional chef clothing.
And the food was very unseasoned.
On my way out of the cottage he happened to walk past me and said hello, his breath smelled of alcohol.
I was not impressed.

Moving my mother to the Village at Valley View almost a year ago was the best decision we have ever made! Melissa Harris is very caring and her staff are all wonderful. It is truly a family atmosphere full of fun, compassion, and genuine interest in the happiness and well-being of each resident. Staff really stepped up to the plate with their implementation of COVID requirements while providing ways to stay in touch, and with their commitment to keeping the residents calm, safe and secure during the recent local wildfire. My mom tells me she LOVES living there and I am just so grateful and appreciative of this wonderful place!

Wow! What a lovely place this is. The place is set up like a large private home great room where there is a kitchen and seating and things to do. It’s bright and cheery and the staff crack me up. They really know how to deal with stuff that happens in a kind and loving way. I am so impressed. And the food looks really good too. I’d eat here, particularly dessert!
