My family chose Viewcrest for skilled nursing after a short hospital stay. The staff was extremely friendly and supportive. The physical, occupational and speech therapy teams were excellent. Dietary went out of their way to provide foods that the client preferred. We felt listened to and our requests were met with affirmative actions.

My elderly father spent the last 7 weeks of his life at Viewcrest this last August - September. I will never recommend or use this facility again! They did not give attention to his breathing, comfort, cleanliness of skin, or need for pain relief. Two examples were putting on a nebulizer but never plugging it in, and taking days to put a special mattress topper on his bed that was ordered in by hospice. (It just sat on the floor next to his bed) When questioned about these things blame was always given to someone else. The staff made promises to us about his care but did not give it. My father suffered unnecessarily as a result.

I feel like this is not something I should have to post here but everything was great at 1st my dad loved it here. He passed away the way he wish. The staff was good and keeping me in the loop with me being out of state. But some of his personal items went missing. Im not getting may answers from staff. My dad passed away and I don't even have his wallet the one thing he carried on him daily. They can keep the money but his wallet and ID would had been nice to have as a grieving child. Very disappointing.

My father stayed here for a short term visit. He was very impressed with the nursing department and the therapy department. His room was kept clean and organized. He also liked the food at this facility. I would recommend this facility for any loved ones seeking short or long term care. Also my father commented on how all of the staff were very friendly and caring.

Do not put your loved ones in this place! They will neglect them and your loved ones quality of life will decrease. Not only that but they will want you to write checks on your loved ones behalf and make medical decisions pertaining to them but refuse to release "care records" of their daily interactions with your loved ones without a power of attorney. A clear sign of their attempt to cover up malfeasance and neglect. EDIT: WOW my loved one and her "primary family contact" both have last names separate from my own. Amazing you knew who I was talking about and that you would confront someone with dementia about this. Actions speak louder than words, at this point I need to see action and not some attempt to "just have her sign it." You should know better. Photos are of my grandmothers fingernails from June through August
