Afton road is a very beautiful place I lived there for 2 years until the new director came there who made my life so miserable I had to move there is there is not a person there staff and residents that are disappointed with this gentleman, the year prior was the greatest place in Minnesota to live at. But I now would not send my worst enemy there I'm not kidding you this is what he has done to this place the staff there are very good I enjoyed all of them I was very sad to leave I miss them all but now I'm in a worse place why why why why why did he do that to me! He runs the place like a prison camp! Not very well liked man by staff or any residents there, somebody needs to look into this ongoing problem!!!!!!t the food is so bad, I was buying my own food for months most of the time! Erick told us that this not a restaurant . So so sad!

Provided church service, after over a year of not being allowed, due to COVID 19. It was good to be back.

No communication between staff and family members in regards to what is going on with their elderly family member in the facility. You find things out when if your loved one is alert enough to tell you themself.

I recently stayed in the guest room at Aftenro while visiting my mom from out of town. At first I thought the nice people I met were flukes of some sort, but during my stay it became abundantly clear that the staff was made up of some extraordinary individuals. Providing for the needs of elderly patients around the clock must be a supremely challenging career choice, but in the week I was there I never met anyone who showed any sign of not loving their work and their residents. I honestly could not be happier with the care my mother is receiving at Aftenro. Knowing that she is in such good hands provides me much peace of mind, especially since I am two time zones away and cannot check in frequently. Regarding those who have registered brief complaints here...I suspect these are folks who would not be happy anywhere.

What a great place!! This is the most beautiful setting for a senior residence and the wonderful care staff is beyond friendly and helpful. My loved one greatly enjoyed the privacy of the rooms, the walking paths and the friendships he made here. I guess being around as long as they have, they sure know what they are doing!!
