My mother has been there over a year Ms. was very inspirational and getting my mother placed there don’t know what I would’ve done without the lady, At first at first, she was in a facility boarding care home in Valencia, California, which is too far for me to travel by me being Los Angeles. Resident the staff the nurses I’ve got a chance to meet pretty much everyone in there and they’ve taken really good care of my mother I don’t feel no facility is 100% but however, View Park Facility is a blessing for me and my family I will Forever be grateful and indebted to this facility. Please don’t send your loved one to this facility! the cnas, med tech, admin, down to the janitors are very rude and unprofessional! My loved one stayed here for a year and half and it has been nothing but constant problems! They misplace and break your loved one’s belongings or should I say steal and when you ask them about it they’re speechless, then when you hit the button for assistance nobody comes, they leave your loved one soiled until they feel like changing them, and you can’t get any help around there! Every answer is idk. I understand the loved one can give the workers a difficult time but that doesn’t give them the right to mistreat and neglect a patient. Theirs definitely elderly abuse going on in there and it’s unacceptable and unethical!

First let me say that when a loved one must transition to a skilled nursing facility, if present, the family MUST partner with the facility and be an essential part of the loved one's care. Dropping them off and expecting anyone to treat them like they would at home is unrealistic. Now that is out the way, I believe that View Park was the best place for my loved one for the last 5 months of their life. As a health care leader, I have high expectations and there is a lot of information that I know and a lot that I will not tolerate. If I had a concern, the Director of Nursing, Administrator, and charge nurses were all responsive. We had family meetings to make sure that needs were met. They welcomed calls to check on my loved one and acknowledged that I needed to check in so I could rest at night. The team would have social gatherings for the residents and encourage all (if possible) to attend. It was a great way to motivate the residents. The CNA's were AMAZING! They turned my loved one every 2 hours (minimum) to prevent skin breakdown. They called me when my loved one wanted to speak with me. If they had time, they would sit with my loved one and just talk. The individuals who are at the front desk and answered the phones were very personable and professional. Now that my loved one has transitioned, I will miss the team at View Park. Because of my profession and determination for my loved one to receive great care, I was demanding at times. They were patient with me and understood my grief. Thank you View Park Convalescent Center for all of your amazing work and care that you provide to residents. Shout out to the: - CNA's - Food Specialists - Housekeeping Professionals - Nurses - Social Planners - PT/OT - Social Worker - Individuals at the front desk - Administrator - Director of Nursing I would love to call out names but would strongly have regrets if I missed someone. If I missed someone in the above list, please forgive me. Everyone on the team was equally important. XOXO

Please don’t subject your loved ones to this facility. I’m doing everything I can to get my mother out of this place. She was discharged from UCLA to this facility. We were told that it was in a nice area and the facility was great. It is in the “jungles” behind the Crenshaw mall. They are unprofessional. They’re rules and regulations are inconsistent. They (CNA/nurses) have disrespected mother mother on several occasions. They made her sleep on a bed with no bedding. The nurse told her the plastic mattress cover was sufficient. They are annoyed when she presses her light button for assistance. On a few occasions she was having difficulty breathing and had to wait a long while for help. My mother had to call me and I had to call the facility to tell them to check on my mother. The room she’s in is atrocious. The furniture is dilapidated. It looks like furniture you fine tossed out on the side of the road. Please don’t place your loved ones in this facility. They will be uncomfortable and unhappy. I met a couple of nurses that were nice and they said find a different facility for my mother as fast as possible. They work here part time and said that this place is horrible.

I was impressed with the new administrator and the changes that have been made with the facility and the staff. Everyone is always pleasant the residents seem to enjoy themselves and the activities provided to them and lastly the place is kept clean. Maintenance and housekeeping is always on the floor of the facility.
