The most important factor in choosing VE for my wife was the quality of care. VE can't be beat there. The caregivers are kind, cheerful, helpful, and skilled. They get to know my wife and know what she likes and needs. Having two caregivers during the day means there is rarely a long wait for assistance. Plus, there is very little turnover so the same caregivers are there almost every day. The management works to improve the care, as with the fall-prevention devices they have installed. And recently (spring of 202) VE has undertaken serious effort to make the food even more attractive.

Absolutely fantastic elder care facility. My mother Shirley lived the last three years of her life at Via’s Galleria home and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the care she got. The memory care home had nine other residents who all got dedicated professional personal and medical care along with regularly scheduled activities. Our family got weekly reports of mom’s activities and behaviors for each day of the week along with weekly nursing health reports. Communicating and working with the staff was easy; calls and visits were always welcomed. Via partners with Casa De La Luz hospice service which gave my mother yet another level of care and oversight. The facility is clean, tastefully decorated, and located in a beautiful desert setting. I can’t recommend Via Elegante highly enough. Do your elder loved one and yourself a favor and look into getting care there.

Our 55-year-old son, paralyzed by a stroke and confined to a wheelchair 7 years ago, moved to Via Elegante's Tucson Mountains facility almost 3 years ago, and is now living in one of their Tucson Foothills group homes. I recommend both residences highly. Both facilities are lovely--beautifully furnished and maintained, with mountain and desert views and landscaping, and good food and diverse activities. Even more impressive to us are the quality and professionalism of the people on staff at Via Elegante. The caregivers are hardworking, patient, attentive and kind, and go out of their way to make residents feel welcome and comfortable. They are supported and led by a team of administrators who are professional, tolerant and set a positive and friendly tone for the entire staff., from the executive director to the community and clinical team leaders. We have been grateful that our son has been cared for so ably at Via Elegante, and recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional living environment for their loved one. Adelaide Kimball

This facility is not memory care as advertised, it’s staffed for assisted living.<br>They will say whatever you need so they can fill a bed but once there, the quality of care is very minimal. The promises made in the initial meeting goes unfulfilled.<br>Their staff is not trained in dementia/Alzheimer’s care or educated in the nuisance’s of the stages of the disease.<br>They provide absolutely no activities or stimulation of any kind for their residents during the day. These poor people stare at the wall or table all day long. The CG’s never engage with the residents, other than what their duty requires. There’s no tenderness, compassion or friendship.<br>They only “assist as needed” and that’s been questionable at times.<br>And again, they offer ZERO activities, Zero stimulation, fun, joy or companionship for their residents. People are bored and depressed. They did put up cute bird feeders outside some windows for a source of entertainment but then stop providing bird feed? They removed the option to provide music, which is helpful and calming during sundowning.<br>People fail quickly in their disease here.<br>And when the disease progresses, they don’t know how to handle these changes properly. Instead of humanely working with the family when issues arrive, they choose to throw you out into the night without any guidance or help or support or kindness. And the cruelty of this industry destroys your loved one. It’s about money, not compassion or care.<br>If you care for your loved one, please look elsewhere because in the end they will not have your back.
