This company is family owned and they have many other facilities in MN. This particular facility is under new management with a wonderful director, caring nurse and staff that make sure residents are well taken care of and well maintained. The residents are happy and have fun doing the daily activities. I read some recent negative comments about this place and to me it looks like they're just upset employees who got fired that couldn't take responsibility for thier own actions.

BEWARE!!!! MINUS---1000 + stars<br>Homeless are treated better then in VSL. Under staffed and what is there is uneducated to be working there. Horrible food and residents get whatever the staff doesn't take for themselves. More worried about staff eating then the residents. Dirty rooms and bathrooms. Laundry gets done whenever they feel like it, and then you are lucky if your loved one gets the correct items back or get them at all.<br>My advice is keep searching for a place for your loved one because this is not it. This place has been reported to the state and the state blows it off. Upper management is NOOOOOO<br>help with your concerns and are very rude to deal with !!!!<br>The list goes on but by now you should understand to look elsewhere for a residence for your family member.<br>Prayers go out to the residents that are still there. Godspeed.

Our mother Darline is in Vermilion Senior Living and she loves it. The staff is super kind and frequently goes above and beyond. We feel very good knowing that our mom is well cared for. Highly recommend.

STAFF IS RUDE ginger and maija refused to do anything for the clients they just sat at the desk looking threw magazines and playing on their phones and got mad when I asked them to help and said “that’s not my job”. The grandfather in law passed the night before at around 3am and we got there at about 11am after calling the funeral home and getting things in order and he was not prepared in any way shape or form he was laying with his eyes open, hair a mess, dirty blankets, room was a mess, and nothing was touched. I thought places like this were supposed to make things easier but not this one. There was a hearse that came to pick up the grandfather in law and he couldn’t make the hill because of ice so instead of helping they said not my problem so I ran out in a already hard time and grabbed some sand so they could make it up. It costs nothing to be a good person as I say… so without going on to much more I’d give this place zero stars if possible and until they make some big changes I will not advise anyone to put there loved ones there
