I would give them 10 stars, 25 stars, they get all the stars in the sky! We're not even customers of UI Homecare, but they went above and beyond to help us. We live in Western Iowa, but my 6 month old son had an appointment in Iowa City. So we stayed the night before in Iowa City to make the day easier. Except that we forgot the cord to charge our son's feeding tube pump and the pump battery died. I called so many places to see if we could buy a new charger and no one sells just the chargers- but when I called UI Homecare, Christian was so sweet and so helpful. He told me he would figure out a way to help and was so encouraging to this brand new mama (even though my son is 6 months old, he's adopted and we've only had him 2 weeks). He called back and said that if I brought the pump in they would charge it for us while we were at our appointment. He was again so helpful and encouraging, if you told me he was an angel sent from Heaven just to help me I would believe you. When we got to the ui Homecare office I ran in and the receptionist stood up and asked "Are you Hannah?" And she took the pump right to a corner of the office where the charger was already set up and waiting for me to get there. After our son's appointment, we went back to the office to pick up the pump but we worried that it wasn't charged enough to make it home (about a four hour drive). We were encouraged to stay as long as we needed to be able to make it home. A nurse, who's name I never did catch, came out to help me get my son's food bag all ready to go and the receptionist gave me her jacket so my son had a blanket while he napped (he was very tired after his appointment). I truly can't thank everyone at UI Homecare enough. They are all truly good and caring people and we are so so grateful to you all ❤️
