I loved these people. The care and compassion they gave my mother during these last few months of her life was exemplary. They made her feel safe and secure.

Hello, I'd like this to be a fair review. They seemed nice at first, when you get in things change. They were low on residents when my parent applied so they seemed eager and accommodating to get us in. This is important because they have a $3,000 dollar community fee, so you don't want to leave right away. Many of the things discussed that they would/could do changed once my parent was in. Make sure they give you the care plan in writing before you move in, I was not given it. Turns out you have a right to see it. I am having a sudden 130% increase in care costs. There has been no significant change in health other then the normal progression of a cognitive impairment. Granted I could see an increase but not 130% all at once ! This amounts to thousands of dollars. The issue causing the increase at another facility would have amounted to maybe a 25% increase in care. They don't have the staff to watch residents properly in my opinion. There is usually 1 person on staff after the weekday day shift and all of the weekends. The facility can have 12 residents, so that can be a 12 to 1 ratio of caregiver to patient. The caregiver also prepares the meals. The way the facility is laid out, there just is no way to see all the residents. I know there is no perfect system but this one leaves too many possibilities for issues. The falls and other issues are most likely a result of the lack of adequate staff. They did state at least 2 caregivers at all times when we were being consulted prior to admission. An experienced consultant was hired to handle our inquiry because current staff was still learning at that time. My parent was falling and getting hurt quite a bit. There should be someone more available to redirect instead of letting someone wander. Same thing happens at night when a person needs to go the bathroom. They are slow at being available to redirect. Granted its a staffing issue. They did have some employees with attitudes that they had to get rid of as well at first. There have been other issues but I won't put them out there for now. Food is below average. They advertise gourmet food. They need better communication and more of a management/supervisor structure to communicate issues to. Right now one person is the go to for everything and I feel she is overwhelmed as she does everything including caregiving. Once they get you in the will start jacking up the prices. Trust me you don't want to bring your loved one here. There are much better places.
