Our mother spent the last three years of her life at Rogue River Place. Our family quickly grew to trust Management and Staff with her care. They kept our family informed so we could do our part in caring for her. Everyone there learned to work with Mom’s moods and quirks and they grew fond of her kind and humorous spirit. With a busy facility full of residents, I witnessed different staff members do more than just address Mom’s needs; they took time to abide with her. The Medtech Lacie, especially, demonstrated this sort of loving touch during Mom’s last days. Hands-on staff, including cooks, housekeepers and nurses, embodied the integration of clinical expertise with the human touch. Such gestures went far in helping Mom feel safe, well-cared for, and free to be herself. Their skilled and compassionate diligence helped preserve Mom’s dignity throughout her stay. We will be forever grateful to the community of care called Rogue River Place.
