My mom was a resident at Eagle Point from the beginning of February until the middle of May. She had a good experience she loved her apartment. She thought the food was pretty good. It is a big facility. She did have a little problem getting around to go down to eat twice a day, but it was good for her too. Our experience with Liz was wonderful. She was extremely helpful. Made my moms stay there very pleasurable. There is also a new marketing person called Rachel. I knew her from a past job she is who I think you would be dealing with to get your tour and learn about the facility. You will really like her she is wonderful. When we got there, they had a new administrator Miranda I’m going to be honest I was not impressed with her at all. She did not respond there was billing problems, but I just learned recently she was let go so I’m sure they will have someone in there that’s doing a better job. I know my mom would recommend the place to other people. She just ran out of money and ended up going to an assisted-living Medicaid facility so her leaving had nothing to do with the facility itself.

My wife and I researched several facilities in eastern Iowa for my sister, who was moving home after living in Las Vegas most of her adult life. The staff was wonderful to work with and showed genuine concern for a smooth transition. They offer a variety of activities, and Eagle Point Place is very accommodating. 5 Stars.

We haven't moved my Mother in yet, but the apt we rented for her was very clean and nice. All of the staff we have interacted with have been super helpful and friendly. We haven't tried the food yet but the Chef that prepares the meals assured us they were delicious 😄 Will give a follow-up review in a couple of weeks

I recently observed at Eagle Pointe Assisted Living involving a resident who appeared to be choking. The situation and the response by staff were concerning enough that I feel it is important to report what I observed.<br>During the incident, the resident appeared to be in significant distress consistent with choking. While two employees did step forward and attempt to perform the Heimlich maneuver, several other staff members present did not appear to actively assist in the emergency response.<br>Among those present but not assisting were individuals who appeared to be regional-level staff, the facility administrator, and the Director of Nursing. I specifically observed the administrator turn away from the situation and look in the opposite direction while the event was unfolding.<br>Additionally, during the response, the Director of Nursing instructed staff members not to stand the resident up but instead directed them to lie the resident down while the resident was choking. This instruction raised concern, as it appeared inconsistent with standard choking response procedures.<br>From my perspective as a witness, there appeared to be confusion among staff and a lack of coordinated emergency response during a life-threatening situation.<br>I am sharing this information to spread awareness of the lack of care. I would not recommend this facility for your loved ones.<br>Would give ZERO stars if available.
