This is the best place we could’ve ever asked when we realized my grandma/momma needed to be put into a nursing home facility! My grandma is a very hard person to please, but this place has went above and beyond the call of duty with her! They also make sure to include our family in any of the plans they have when they celebrate Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Cinco de Mayo, Mardi Gras, etc.! They are always quick to let us know when something has occurred with our grandma and they are also quick to address the issue on how they can prevent it from occurring again! They have bingo cards, coloring books, all sorts of things for the residents there! They even have a resident council that my grandma sits on so they make sure they’re hear the residents voices and that the residents know they matter! Cause Yes this is a business this is also a resident’s home! We are so appreciative of all the employees that work so hard to contribute to her care!! ❤️

My precious mother was a resident here for 2 years. No one ever wants to come to the realization that their loved one has to be placed in a nursing facility but we had no choice. My sister and I were overall pleased with Treutlen. The facility is always clean and doesn't have the smell of some nursing homes. The staff was always nice and willing to help in any way possible. I 100 percent recommend this facility.

Choosing to put a loved one in a skilled care facility can be difficult. We were forced into a situation where I had to out my mother and father in law into skilled care quickly due to multiple hospital stays. I called Treutlen County Health and Rehab. Pebbles, the director of nursing, answered the phone. I explained what the situation was. She asked if we could be there in the morning. When we arrived they were so kind. They made all the arrangements and went over the finances. I ran home and grabbed her medications so they could get them packaged. They use Dennards Pharmacy right there in town so she didn’t have to wait for her medicine for days. I brought her back to her new home after lunch. We did the same thing with my father in law. This time the administrator called me the night before to make sure I didn’t need anything. Over the past few very chaotic weeks the entire staff was warm and welcoming. Everyone says and talks to the residents. I don’t care if it is housekeeping or the janitor. It was obvious one day that I needed a minute and the lady pushing the cart with the snacks for the residents told me to get something. I told her they were for the residents and her reply was, “you look like you need a pick me up and a break”. I needed both. Every time I walk into the facility someone is there to greet you. The residents are happy and smile and wave. The dining staff always offers a plate or a drink. During the Olympics they competed in various events and received metals. Last week they had an Elvis Party all the way down to the Blue Suede Shoes. There is bingo, dancing, laughter everywhere. Someone asked me how I would describe Treutlen Health and Rehab. All I can say is “Family”. We didn’t take our family and put them into a facility. We took them home to new friends and family. Unless the staff is in a meeting, their doors are always open or they are interacting with the residents. We are so blessed to have this facility and their amazing staff in our community.

There just aren't enough words to express the gratitude we have for the care given to our family member. They are attentive, and engaged. They are kindhearted and willing. Thank you for keeping a smile on our loved ones face. And for allowing us to be at peace knowing she is in good hands.
