It is unethical for healthcare companies to solicit patients. They called trying to get my business.

Tremont Rehab is clean and decent. Many staff workers are great but there are a few that are very disrespectful and neglectful.
They allowed him to remain in bed for 4 weeks (not exaggerating) where he could no longer walk. He can do many things but they don’t allow him to dress himself, feed himself, nor allow him to go the bathroom. He does need help to go but they have allowed him to stay in diapers contrary to being told he just needs help to get to the bathroom.
They keep him in a wheelchair and not allowing him to keep walking. Their reasoning is they don’t have time to let him walk or go to the bathroom. Their solution is to keep him in diapers and give him laxatives nearly every day.

At three different times, he had stopped eating, drinking and taking his meds for more than 4 days without notifying the family. We are all an hour away.

He is overly medicated by giving him medication that raises his blood pressure, then give him 3 other meds to bring it down.

They assured PS Health psychiatrists he would get counseling and eight months later he has yet to receive any counseling but they have put him on 2 different anti-depressants one of which raises his BP. I have given them documentation from his previous psychiatrist who gave him this particular med which is the reason the psychiatrist removed him from that med. Also gave him hallucinations.

Some of the staff will lie about many things such as “yes, he has been out walking every day” while another on the same staff schedule and same wing will tell me “no, he hasn’t been up for a few days”, They will also blame him because “the law states – they cannot make him do anything”. I have interviewed other nursing homes, the do not agree. There are many ways to help a resident get up and move around.

I could go on but you get the idea.

DON'T GO THERE IF YOU REALLY CARE FOR YOUR FAMILY
