My parents moved into Topeka Presbyterian Manor Assisted Living in November. I can’t tell you what peace of mind it is when my mom says “Everyone is so nice here! They take really good care of me. The food is even good too!” My dad talks about the friends he has made. The great physical therapy he gets. And that he still gets to enjoy the outdoors by walking down to the pond. My sister and I so appreciated the help Carol assisted us with the application process, moving and any questions we have had. We are so thankful for all the staff at Topeka Presbyterian Manor and that our parents feel at home and are happy!

It is a very nice facility. But one day my mom fell in her room and they sent her by ambulance to the ER. 6 hours later when we returned, they still had not cleaned the blood up in her room. My mom didn't want to look at that so she asked me to put newspaper on top of it, so I did. Then I talked to the nurse before I left and asked that they clean that up. They assured me it would be. The next morning when I got there to see how she was doing, the newspaper was still laying there. So I moved it and there was still blood on the floor!! And now, of course, since they waited forever to clean it there is a blood stain on the floor. I have cleaned up lots of blood before mom went there, and even after 4-5 hours I was able to get the blood up with out leaving any stain.

We are so lucky to have found Topeka Presbyterian Manor. The entire staff is warm and friendly. They are attentive to even the smallest need. My mother is receiving excellent care. She has many opportunities for activities. The facility is clean and inviting. She thinks the food is good, too. Overall this has been a great experience. Bev Rogers
