My uncle passed this January. He had been a resident of timber ridge. He fell into their care during a health crisis he and his wife were going through. They were received and accommodated with care as they faced decisions that led to hospice. During this time, Timber Ridges staff were very concerned and available to help as my aunt passed. Now, my uncle lived without his wife at Tiber Ridge for the past 2 1/2 years. He created a wonderful community within and meaningful relationships with staff and fellow residents. He passed very suddenly in the arms of one of the attendants and was comforted and held while help arrived. Very compassionate care. We have received care from Tiber Ridge both in Eureka and McKinleyville for two generations. Both my uncles parents were residents as well as my uncle and aunt. Many years of care in total. I have nothing but gratitude for the attention and kindness and humanness of both of these facilities. Management was always engaged, helpful, friendly and upbeat. Well behaved animals, activities, good food, friendly staff that over time became our families extended family. What more can you really ask for? Oh, the facilities were always well cared for and clean. Well, that’s about it. Long winded but my honest heartfelt experience. 5 star!!

Moving my Mother-in- Law to Timbereidge was an incredibly difficult decision, but the staff has made all the difference. What stands out most is the genuine compassion and patience they show both my Mother and myself. I visit the facility unannounced at reasonable times whenever I choose. The staff treats my Mother and every other resident with dignity and takes the time to learn their unique stories. I’m especially impressed with how they manage my Mother’s slipping memory with calm, gentle redirection. They engage my mother and encourage her to participate in all activities. I have seen the same engagement with all the other residents. My mother has made friends and is more active than she has been in years. She goes on bus trips weekly, they set up an in house store where she and other residences can shop. She paints, plays board games, and participates in bingo and card games despite the fact her memory is slipping. She loves the staff. We are fortunate to have help when we could no longer do it ourself. The facility is always clean and in order which gives me immense peace of mind. This facility offers my Mother the most amount of independence she can have and still be safe. If you were to ask her what she dislikes about the facility she said. “ I miss my dog, but the food is pretty good and the staff is really fun. They alway want me to be involved.”

Excellent facility and great staff. There are plenty of activities and chances to mingle with other residents. Even field trips for those who want them. Assisted living where needed, independence where desired and applicable. Perfect combination.

Do NOT bring your loved ones here. As I was visiting one of my extended family members I overheard the owner talking about how there was a patient that needed to be hospitalized but they didn’t want to send him to the hospital because the would lose money. Later I heard he ended up having pneumonia. This place needs to be investigated

Timber Ridge is Not a Care home! It is assisted living, with minimal assistance. If you’re looking for elder care use Fryes, it just a smile away! My mother chose TR over all the other places, because she liked her independence! She only stayed there close to a year! TR proved to be like their negative reviews! It is almost beyond belief the way they are treated/ not treated there! They raised the prices over $1000 per mo in just 1 year! Plus the staff smokes anything! in their area when you first enter the parking lot. I have seen a pitbull dog wandering in the empty lobby on the weekend when No management or reception is there! Please consider these things and take the negative reviews seriously when placing your loved one there! They still owe my Mother money that she overpaid when she move out, and at this point it doesn't look like they will pay her back unless taken to court. Anyway, PLEASE check the reviews of other places in the area and compare! My mother currently is in Great care at Fryes.
