I have been with Woodmark a year and a half. I absolutely love it, we have so many activities through out the week, that are so much fun and very inclusive. The marketing girls have done an excellent job in bringing in new friends. As an ambassador I am one of the first people our new residents meet when the first arrive! I am proud to have such an amazing community to live at, and be able to have the best experiences.

I have had my mother placed here for several years. Currently if you are thinking about placing a loved one here I would reach out to the cooperate office and see if you can even get a response. I personally would love to know how or if they even have a plan to fix the “revolving door” of employees. Not just unskilled employees, the entire management team is new yet again, I believe like the 3rd or 4th time in the last 2 years. I personally have reached out to the owners TWICE with concerns. Absolutely, disrespectfully, NOTHING from them. This last time they actually had the new Executive Director reach out to me. She is very kind, however was only employed for a few weeks at best and how concerning is it that the owners/ corporate are so removed and care so little to hear the real issues so maybe they could provide a secure and stable atmosphere for our loved ones! Billing department is rude and will bill for one thing and then try to collect more after the fact.
Placing my mom here was supposed to be so I could be her “son” again and not have to do so much work! There is hardly a person here who has their feet settled in enough to handle that load. This weekend the sweetest front desk gal said goodbye because she is leaving. It sure was nice being greeted by a smiling face and somebody who was always willing to help.
To the Woodmark owners. You cannot rely on the FEW fantastic employees who have been faithful to you forever if you keep under paying them and have them in constant turmoil and insecurity! Thank god for employees like Julie. Do your homework. This place has a ton of potential with some extremely wonderful caring people doing the hands on work. It’s the upper management that is absolutely creating a very unstable establishment!!!!!

UPDATED POST 06-26-26
What a remarkable change!!!!!! Due to my mother's declining health, we were forced to upgrade her level of care to the "Memory Care Unit". I was extremely resistant to further confine my mother and limit her independence. With the help of our case manager Megan (who is a god sent) and the director of Memory care Andrea, we finally made the move! I was completely unsure of what to expect based on the previous experience in assisted living!
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like night and day different. If I would have known this would be the case, I would have moved my mom here ALONG time ago! Well of course the doctor's orders helped. It feels like this is a COMPLETELY different establishment. Virtually nothing is the same, and yet it is the same. My mother is thriving from all of the attention she now gets, all of the activities she participates in now and even eats 3 meals a day in the cafeteria. I basically got so much of my own life back by switching her to memory care! I know feel like her son again and both of our lives have been enriched!
Within 1 week of my mother being in her new room I realized something that was very special. Not only do the residents genuinely respect and appreciate the director, Andrea, but the staff. HOLY MOLY. They all sing her praises, and this is what I would have expected the atmosphere to be like next door in assisted living too. I mean she handles everything and somehow keeps everybody happy. My mom has been even improving since she has been in this positive climate. The staff treat her great and act like they actually love her. I never wonder if my mom is okay anymore.
Recently, mom had a fall, I was notified within minutes and fulling integrated in the treatment and what was happing next. Once she returned, we spoke with Andrea and the staff and made some small adjustments which is the perfect level of participation and trust we now have with the care team for my mom. I seriously cannot be happier with the decision to move my mother.
Andrea and Team at memory care keep doing what you are doing because we appreciate you and what you do. You are making a difference and trusting our loved ones in your hands is a major decision. The fact that you treat them like your own makes us know we made the right decision.

After touring a number of Assisted living facilities for my mom and dad we visited The Woodmark in Sun City Az. Instantly it had a good vibe. Clean ,well lit, friendly residents and friendly staff. Jordan, our tour guide was absolutely wonderful. Welcoming , friendly yet very professional. She answered all of my questions and concerns and yet to this day gets back to me at her soonest opportunity. Some residential homes have a great sales pitch and then feel abandoned once they have your business. Not The Woodmark! I know my parent's are in good hands with assistance with medication distribution,in house doctor visits, nutritious meals and transportation for trips to different stores. They'll also transport the residents to doctor appointments. There is always some activity going on in conjunction with mental and physical health. A shout out to Erin in the financial department who resolved a situation without difficulty and for addressing it promptly. I definitely recommend The Woodmark in Sun City Az !

Was referred to Memory Care at The Woodmark by A Place for Mom in a rush to get my FIL to a safe place where he’d be happy and well taken care of. That was in February, and so far it’s been great! He seems to have acclimated well, he’s happy, and the staff is wonderful! The director Andrea is always responsive, they have a lot of activities for the residents, and it’s secure. It’s been a big weight off my shoulders knowing that he’s in a place that he will be happy, safe, and well taken care of! A+!
