Our family is incredibly grateful for the care our mother, Donna, has received at The Willows. From the moment she was admitted, it’s been clear that this is a special place. She is genuinely happy there and has become socially engaged again, which has meant the world to our family. The staff go above and beyond with all the “extra” little things that make residents feel truly cared for, not just looked after. The Willows is a beautiful facility, but what really stands out is the people. It feels like a happy, positive environment, and you can tell there is real pride in both the work being done and the community they’ve created. We sincerely appreciate everything the staff does each day and would highly recommend The Willows to anyone looking for compassionate, quality care.

“Living at The Willows of Marshalltown has been an exceptional experience—every detail, from meals to activities, is thoughtfully designed.” I’ve been a resident in the Assisted Living wing for over a year, and my experience has been outstanding. Meals are excellent, with three great options each day plus a menu of additional choices. The care is top-notch, with nursing and CNA staff available around the clock. The facility offers convenient transportation for appointments, as well as frequent outings to local restaurants and events. The Willows accommodates both Assisted Living and a fully staffed Memory Care section, with many inviting common areas including a library, game and bar room, sitting room, theatre, courtyard, and spacious dining room. My stay has been extremely satisfying. In my opinion, The Willows is by far the most elite and accommodating facility of its kind in the Marshalltown area. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking quality senior care.

The Willows is a very special place. This is the best Asstd. Living/Memory care facility around. The staff makes our loved ones their top priority at all times. They spend the time needed with the residents. The property is very clean. They strive to keep everyone entertained by music, themes, and parties. This is nothing like all the others. We are very blessed to have our mom in such a caring, and loving environment.

We took my father-in-law to The Willows when we could no longer take care of him ourselves. Dave and the facilities staff did a great job of getting his room ready on short notice. The entire staff took excellent care of him and his many visitors. They made us all feel welcomed and lightened our load during a very tough time for our family.

The Willows has been a wonderful home for my Mom. She has made friends there, and has many opportunities to enjoy herself and socialize with others, both staff and residents. Additionally, she has been safe. With however much or little assistance she has needed, the staff has been adaptable and responsive to her changing physical challenges. During this past COVID year, which has been difficult for residents and staff alike, it has felt like the staff has worked very hard to help families feel connected and heard even while facing COVID challenges in their own lives. The facility is quite beautiful, and lots of programming y Mom encourages residents to enjoy all of the special spaces, such as the game room, movie theater and workout room. My Mom particularly loves the live music that she gets to hear twice a week. It gives her lots of joy and brings back memories from her childhood. The management is responsive to any issues of concern that are raised by residents and their families.
