Staff is amazing but the management company needs to get the elevator working in the front, it has been OOO for a month. The carpets are filthy. My parents are unfortunately focused on this. Some residences have an odor that extends into the halls. The dining room has great food but my parents complain that there are fruit flies. Food is great. Service is slow. They should replace carpets with darker carpet bc scooters and spills have stained their carpets. The activities for residents are creative and plentiful. I wish there were some more things for men. My dad liked to tinker and build. Recently having HVAC issues but apartments are fine, common areas were affected. Great location and property. I think owners need to step it up on capital and maintenance expenses. Some staff work very hard while others seem to have less to do, could have them check restrooms bc old people tend to blow up toilets often. Roger is a hard worker and the maintenance men work very hard. The activities coordinator is very good and cheerful. I just wish these issues were addressed so my parents would be happier there. They have been there 6 weeks. There was a lack of communication and the apartment was not really ready when my parents moved in but we worked through it. Update: my parents relocated to Memory Care and Assisted Living and they have good memories of The Terraces.

I have a dear friend that I have frequently visited there over the years. She has enjoyed living there. Unfortunately, on my more recent visits, the hall where her apartment is smelled completely awful and the odor reached all the way to the end of the hallway. It has continued to get worse each time I visit. It's a shame as the building has received new carpet and paint, but the carpet has several stains on it already. On my most recent visit, my friend's air conditioner had been out for a while, and on behalf of my concern for her I went to report this to the building manager. Her door was shut. I went to the nextdoor office and saw the head manager and marketing director and some other woman with a nametag on just sitting in the office literally lounging out and didn't seem at all interested or concerned with my friend's air conditioner. They acted very dismissive. My friend told me that their new maintenance man did end up coming by her apartment and he seemed to be happy to assist her and even kindly hung a new frame on her wall for her. I spoke with my friend's son regarding this issue and he told me there has been a lot changes in management staff there and a new company owned it now and has also been concerned with all of the unfamiliar faces. I hope my next visit will be a better experience.

The Terraces of Kingwood made my dad’s transition from living in his home to independent living truly seamless. What could have been an overwhelming and emotional process - over the course of a few months - instead felt smooth, supportive, and surprisingly uplifting. From the moment we walked in, they made both my dad and our family feel welcome — not just as new residents, but as part of a community. Every step of the way, the staff showed patience, kindness, and a genuine commitment to making sure my dad felt comfortable and confident in his new environment. The entire process was organized, clear, and handled with such care that it took a huge weight off our shoulders. A special shout‑out to Britany, the Sales Director, whose professionalism and warmth made all the difference. She answered every question — and then some — with clarity, compassion, and an impressive depth of knowledge. Her guidance helped us navigate decisions big and small, and we never once felt rushed or uncertain. We are incredibly grateful for the Terraces of Kingwood and the wonderful team who continue to make this transition not just easy, but truly positive. They continue to exceed every expectation, and we couldn’t be more thankful.

My husband and I moved into The Terraces just over a year ago, and it has truly been a wonderful place to call home. Let me share a few of the reasons why I love living here. The dining experience is exceptional, with restaurant-style meals served daily from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. There are always a variety of choices, and the food is consistently excellent. There is also a wide range of activities to enjoy, including crafts, paint-and-sip events, bingo, chair volleyball, axe throwing, and so much more. There is always something engaging and fun happening. Having lived in two other independent living communities, I can honestly say that The Terraces stands out as the very best. After my spouse passed away in December, the staff here showed incredible care and compassion. They helped me host his celebration of life right here at the community, which meant so much to me. Brittany, the Sales Director, was especially supportive during that difficult time, and I will always be grateful for her kindness. I truly cannot imagine living anywhere else.

I have been a resident at Terraces for nine months, and I could not be more pleased. Our building has undergone extensive renovations, including paint, new carpet and furniture upgrades in the lobby areas. There are many daily activities to choose from, and field trips away from the facility are offered weekly. Also the staff is warm and helpful, as are the residents. Each new resident is assiged an ambassador as a guide to answer questions and provide input. The dining room has a varied daily menu and is open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. We are a family.
