About The Springs at Greer Gardens

The Springs at Greer Gardens in Eugene, Oregon offers Independent Living and Assisted Living for seniors in a resort-style setting. The community features on-site dining, a pool, spa, fitness facilities, painting classes, swimming instruction, and regular activities designed to keep residents engaged.

Reviews are notably divided. Many families praise the staff's warmth and attentiveness, describing caregivers and administrators as compassionate and responsive to residents' needs. One family wrote, "they have literally moved heaven and earth to make the transition possible." Residents and visitors highlight the food quality, diverse programming, and pleasant physical environment. However, several families report serious operational challenges: insufficient staffing in assisted living areas, recurring heating and air-conditioning failures, delayed communication during emergencies, frequent turnover among dining staff, and rigid visitor policies that prioritize advance reservations over family compassion during urgent visits.

The facility holds a 4 out of 5 Google rating across 28 reviews, but the underlying pattern suggests strong interpersonal care paired with inconsistent operational reliability. Families considering placement should ask directly about current staffing levels, maintenance responsiveness, and visitor accommodation policies before enrolling a loved one.

The policies and decisions made by upper management at this facility are extremely disappointing. Our family arrived to visit our ailing grandfather with four adults and two children, only to be turned away because our 95-year-old grandfather had forgotten to make a reservation in advance.<br><br>Instead of showing compassion and making a reasonable accommodation for a family visiting a seriously ill loved one, they chose to strictly enforce a policy. Because of that decision, we may have missed our last chance to see him.<br><br>I want to be clear that the staff we spoke with were kind, respectful, and understanding. This review is not a reflection of them. My concern is with the policies created by upper management and the corporate office. A facility that is supposed to care for people should remember that compassion and humanity matter just as much as policies

I am really saddened to think that when you get a piece of mail which is obviously a birthday card for someone elderly living in your place, that you don't take the three minutes that it would take to find out their room number and make someone happy to get a card on their birthday. Rather than send it back address unknown, I have the twelve eighty two, good pasture island road address, I had room 205 with a question mark. Instead of taking the time to look up their correct room.Number.🤔 it just disappointed me to get this card back in the mail.Today way after her birthday. 😕

To the eye this place is very nice on the outside. The staff was also very nice!! Im making a personal review. My friend moved there but didnt stay very long!! When she told me she had rented a really big studio with a kitchenette. It sounded so lovely!!I had a vision of what it would be like there!! It just sounded wonderful!! Aĺl the amenities and things. I figured it was more like a luxury hotel or something!! They will walk your pet, wash your laundry, they have a garden where u can plant your own veggies!! Tons of activities!! She didnt really need medical assistance but we were excited for her. It sounded so ideal. So i went to go visit. One of the elevators was broken!! I expected something completely different!! First of all the cost of the studio apartment was a whopping $8,000 PER MONTH!! I couldn't even believe the price tag!! Each amenity has a fee!! $375 per month to walk your dog every day. Laundry a fee!! Sure you can bring your vegetable plant and plant it in their garden. But you also had to pay a fee to plant say for example a tomato plant. They even charge a monthly fee for that space too!! So basically this place isnt for the poor or low income folks!! By any means!! but they nickel and dime you to death here!!which I thought was absurd!! I would go so far as to say the studio was similar to the size of a quad on campus. The kitchenette should hardly be considered a kitchenette. U walk in and when u close the front door theres a small sink, fridge and a microwave. No burners or no oven!!I The bathroom was spacious!! I am aware of what a studio is, but this isnt even close to what I imagined!!Not for the outrageous price tag. My friend said everyone is super friendly The dining area is very nice. With menus and great food selections. I heard the food is absolutely wonderful!!! Of course that isnt cheap either!!The residents are super nice and they seem to be happy there. The windows dont open and it felt so stuffy in there!! Im sure the intentions of the owners is for this place to be top of the line, to me though its just decorated nicely. And for those who need care I cant even imagine how much extra that costs?? As you drive up the curb appeal is truly lovely. I just felt it could've had bigger studios. For that price!!Windows that open. Rent is sky high and rising everywhere but thats a hefty price for a studio!! If I was well off, I would never pay that price for a studio. That move was not cheap. My friend bar we ly lasted 2 weeks and because she didnt give a 30 day notice they were gonna charge her a extra months rent. Her total would have been $14,000, but i heard they worked out a deal!! Im sure some people will complain about my review, but earlier I mentioned this is my own personal review.
