The entire staff at Rutherford Memory Care are angels imo. They all cared for and loved my mother as if she was their own. Because of this, her entire family saw her peace and joy while The Rutherford was her “home”. I will be forever grateful and thankful for everyone there. <3

My mother has dementia and can no longer speak or care for herself. We placed her in the Rutherford. We liked the layout of the facility. The bathroom was outdated and we had to replace the shower head. The food was not great. They brought in a guy who was former military to run the menory care unit and he was horrible. No compassion. No communication. I had to report him. They did not have things like sugar, on a regular basis. Only a few staff members were good.<br><br>Things that happened:<br>My mother's curling iron was stolen and not replaced.<br><br>My mother was hit by a male patient TWICE!! They knew of his violent tendencies!! Why was he still there? She is a little lady in a wheelchair who would not harm anyone. I have pictures of her injuries and it was reported to the state and the police were also notified. They didn't act like they cared, specifically that male supervisor. We took my mother out of there. She feared for her safety. She communicated this thru her form of non-verbal communication to her provider. It was the saddest and hardest thing to deal with knowing someone hurt my mother!<br>All I can say is BEWARE.

They have been great with working with us to get my dad in at short notice. The staff has been sweet and caring.

This was a GREAT place for Mom. She had dementia and has recently passed away. They were all so loving towards my Mom. She called it her Senior Apartment.
