The Rose of Dubuque is a wonderful, AFFORDABLE choice for Assisted Living in Dubuque. It is clean, staff is friendly, and the administrator, Carol, truly cares about helping the residents. The staff sticks to the policies and guidelines in order to create a safe, clean, and equal living space for all of the residents. I have seen first hand that some residents take the rules personally, but I believe it is for the best of ALL, not just one. I think it is a really great place to find community and get the care you need while still having your own place and independence. There are activities, a movie theater, game room, a garden, card clubs, a dining room that has decent meals, etc. There is NO comparison anywhere in town for an affordable assisted living facility at the same standards The Rose keeps. I highly recommend setting up a tour if you are looking for a place for a loved one in need of a little extra care.

My mom and I had our initial meeting with carol at the rose yesterday and we were blown away by the building, staff, and level of compassion and understanding. I feel so relieved, confident, and comfortable with my mom living at the rose and joining their residents community.. it’s a huge weight that’s been lifted. You can tell that carol cares so much about each person and truly wants what’s best for each individual. They offer so many activities for the residents to participate in, and have so many assisted living benefits for each person customized to their needs. Carol is such a sweet and caring administrator, very friendly, reassuring, and truly has compassion and understanding for the entire family. The first impression was beyond my expectations and I can’t wait to travel this new journey with my mom and the entire team at the rose!

When picking out a place for my mom, this was the perfect place. The staff is friendly, the residents are nice. The place is clean. The location has many different activities the residents can do, Garden, sit out front and watch everything, have special projects and game for people to get involved in. For the food; it’s institutional food, not the best but not the worst. If the residents don’t like the food, they are not forced to eat it.<br><br>But overall, The Rose is a very good place for a person that can still live on their own and still do their daily living activity, but have the support when needed.
