The facility and staff are top notch. My Dad loves the food. Great chef!! Renting an assisted living apartment was super easy. I highly recommend you check this place out for your loved ones.

We moved our mother from a different assisted living community to Oak Park Place the end of May. Her transition was easy thanks to Jared, Nurse Dawn and Suzanne. On our first visit to OPP, Jared was very knowledgeable and showed us different room options. He was able to answer all of our questions without having to defer to others. He introduced us to most of the staff and showed us the entire building. Once our family decided we liked OPP, Jared took our mother on the same tour, inviting her back for several meals before we even decided on moving mom. Nurse Dawn is outstanding. Dawn explained how the medical transition would work. We meet with her a few times prior to the move. The day of the move, Dawn had all mom's meds ordered and on hand. No questions were left unanswered. Dawn has always returned our emails within 24 hours and has ALWAYS returned our phone calls. Dawn makes sure she sends blood sugar levels to mom's doctor weekly. Mom's doctor has adjusted her insulin levels because of accurate and timely documentations from Dawn. Suzanne, the receptionist, is a master. She knows who to talk to if she can't answer a question, always has medical forms ready for doctors and diligently keeps track of upcoming appointments and transportation needs. She is the heart of OPP. The cafeteria staff and food is fantastic. Mom is always given a choice for meals. There is a form that is filled out a week prior, but staff always ask if that is what they still want.

From the day mom moved into Oak Park Place Dubuque, she has been like one of the family. The staff are so kind and friendly to mom (and mom’s family) and are always ready to help. Dawn the Director is very approachable and willing to help with anything needed. Puts my mind at ease knowing mom is well cared for. Thank you Oak Park Place Dubuque for all you do.

We are very pleased with Oak Park Place! They have gone above and beyond making my in-laws feel welcome and have been very accommodating to our various questions and needs. The food has been awesome and I can’t say enough good things about our nurse Dawn in assisted living. Her and her staff have been wonderful to deal with!
