Don’t expect your loved ones to be brought back to baseline. They don’t know what your loved one’s baseline is. Don’t expect your loved one to do physical therapy. They’ll be in bed all day. Or a wheelchair. Then they’ll fall when they get home because they can’t fully lift their leg over the doorstep. Expecting them to be taken care of in a timely manner? No, they’ll lie in their own filth until someone is available, because they’re understaffed. Don’t bring clothes either. They will lose them.
