Absolutely would not recommend this place. If you expect nurses to answer call buttons in a reasonable amount of time, lower your expectations now. We repeatedly had to leave the room and go find staff ourselves because calls for help would go unanswered. Even after finding someone, getting assistance still felt like a waiting game. On top of that, it was extremely difficult to reach anyone by phone or even receive a call back. Communication should not be this difficult, especially when families are trying to get information or assistance. This was presented as a skilled nursing/rehabilitation facility, but the experience felt much more like a rest home than a rehab center. There was very little intensive rehabilitation for what was expected, and the level of attentiveness and support simply did not match expectations. Watching loved ones go through recovery should not come with constant stress over whether someone is actually going to show up when help is needed. The overall experience was frustrating, disappointing, and honestly shocking considering the level of care that was expected. The one bright spot during the experience was Tracey. She was amazing, caring, attentive and genuinely seemed to care about her patients. Staff like her are the reason patients and families feel supported. Unfortunately, one great nurse could not make up for the overall experience.

The staff, especially physical and occupational therapy, was supportive, motivational and patience with my father. As a nurse myself I was grateful seeing the great care received.

It was very hard for me to decide how many stars to leave them, but I have to be fair. If you go into this facility with your wits about you and are there just for rehab, then it’s an amazing place as long as you can advocate for yourself. If you’re considering putting a patient in there that has dementia or Alzheimer’s, then reconsider. Had we known that all the patient has to do is say no and they will leave them alone then we would not have brought my dad here. My dad says no to everything without even knowing what you want. For this reason He was not made to shower or to brush his teeth or to shave or do anything to clean him up or even PT other than when he pooped his diaper. My sister and I were there daily on different shifts just to be able to advocate for him. I was Always told to turn on the light When we needed something but both the nurse and the MAs ignored it. According to them, there was always some emergency. I’ve sat in that room Multiple times for 30 minutes waiting for somebody to respond to that light until I finally just grabbed a person walking by and ask them to help me. We were constantly told that if he says no, they couldn’t force him to do anything. Well, then, why on earth is he here if he cannot be rehabilitated? Isn’t that what this place is for? This is a big rip off To Medicare. The first few days they would make him get up and sit him in his wheelchair, but he would always slide out of it. They would sit him there and walk away knowing he did this So they moved him to a room in front of the nurses station However, that didn’t make a difference. He slid out of his wheelchair multiple times and also fell out of bed. I went in one day and saw his sleeve had blood all on ver it and asked what happened. Nobody could tell me what happened to him or how he got hurt. It was a skin tear In the shape of a quarter moon at least 2 inches wide and it wasn’t even dressed. There’s no way you could miss the blood all over his shirt. I know it came from the wheelchair because there’s nothing on his bed where he could get that kind of tear. Multiple times I went into the room and saw either his breakfast or lunch tray Sitting on the side of his bed and the tops were not even removed nor the tray put in front of him to eat. I went out and told them they could not do this that his food needed to be set up for him and also cut up. The nurse told me they just put the lid on it because he didn’t want to eat And said that they did set it up for him, but I know that’s a lie because his oatmeal didn’t have anything in it and he always uses the Brown sugar packet that they give him and they know this. His food was not cut up and his silverware wasn’t even opened up. Don’t even get me started on his nurse because she was a joke. She had nothing better to do than to sit and gossip with her MAs and make googly eyes at one of the other workers. The only two people in that entire place That took us seriously was his caseworker and a PT worker that left while My dad was still there. The caseworker was amazing and we loved her. There were many other things that happened, but I’m not gonna get into it all. Bottom line is if you cannot advocate for yourself or your loved ones can’t then don’t send them here. It is a beautiful facility with a nice dining room and hair salon and I’m sure it’s great for people just needing rehab.

My father recently stayed at The Center, and our family couldn’t be more grateful for the care he received. Angela, LPN, was especially wonderful—she was incredibly caring, attentive, and patient with him. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in such capable hands. The staff also went above and beyond by keeping him at the nurses’ station so he could interact with everyone throughout the day. He’s a very social person, and this small act made a huge difference in his comfort and happiness. The facility itself was spotless every time I visited, and every staff member we encountered was kind, welcoming, and genuinely compassionate. We truly appreciate the exceptional care he received and highly recommend The Center to anyone looking for a clean, supportive, and caring environment for their loved one.

Some staff are nice. Overall no emphasis to heal the patient, and minimum level of attempt to keep them safe and clean. Maybe they are just dramatically understaffed, but the bottom line is if the patient isn't in prime mental state to know that this is a path to health then the patient just lies in their room calling for help/loved ones/etc. Third time the patient has fallen. This time they have no idea how many hours she was lying on the floor. She was moved to the room closest to the nurse's station. The room being filthy is horrible, but no one checking on a patient in hours...no one hearing cries for help...this place is horrible!!!
