Our experience with this company was extremely disappointing. In my experience, the owner, Hetal, was very unprofessional, misleading, and difficult to deal with. If you are looking for dependable and compassionate care for a loved one, I strongly encourage you to carefully consider your options before choosing this company.

Please do not be fooled by the initial introduction and presentation of the company like we were. Unfortunately, as time went on, I felt that the focus was more on money than on providing genuine, consistent, and compassionate care to the client.

I do want to acknowledge that a few of the caregivers/staff members we encountered were compassionate, dependable, and truly seemed to care about the well-being of the client. I appreciate those individuals and the care they provided.

However, my experience with the ownership—particularly Hetal—was completely different. The lack of professionalism, communication, transparency, and genuine concern for the client ultimately led us to discontinue services.

When you are trusting a company with the care of someone you love, compassion, honesty, reliability, and professionalism should come before profit. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.

I would not recommend this company to families looking for quality and compassionate care for their loved ones.

ZERO STARS if I could give it.

I am not normally one to write negative reviews for companies. I would much prefer to speak with someone to resolve my concerns. However, it doesn't seem to be possible with Synergy.
We began working with Synergy 2 weeks ago to assist my father (who has dementia) with ADL's. They were supposed to go just 2 hours per day to ensure that he was getting something to eat, getting cleaned up and prompting him to take his daily medication.
The first caretaker that was sent was so nasty! Before even meeting my father, she asked if we could just hire her full time and not tell Synergy. When she "met" my father, instead of calmly approaching him and introducing herself, she flipped on the lights and started yelling for him to get up and get in the shower or she would make him get up and get in shower. After the shower, she tried to give him his medication for a second time that day!
When I called Mike at Synergy, he was dismissive of my concerns and told me that my dad needs more care than they can provide in 2 hours. I am very much aware of this and I handle the other 22 hours per day. I just need a little help and a break for 2 hours per day. He reluctantly agreed to send another aide "whenever they could find someone."
I got a call the next day saying a new aide would begin that Monday. Yay!
Sunday evening I got a call letting me know that no one was coming Monday, they would start on Tuesday. She started on Tuesday and was absolutely lovely! She was so kind and patient with my dad. We were thrilled.
Until Saturday morning. My dad's neighbor called and told me the paramedics were on the way because my dad was having chest pain. When I arrived, I checked his medication and he hadn't taken it Thursday or Friday! While the aide was nice, she never prompted him to take his medication!
He was taken to the hospital with a suspected heart attack. It was determined in the hospital that the episode was caused by him not having his heart medication for 2 days.
I've been trying to call Synergy to let them know we no longer need their services as my dad will no longer be able to go back home. Each time I call, the voicemail assures that all calls are returned within 1 hour. The voicemail is full so I can't leave a message and no one has called me back.
This has been such a disappointing experience. We reached out to get in home help so that we could keep my dad in his home as long as possible safely and I feel like we're in worse shape than we were before we started working with Synergy.
I've heard so many great stories from people who have worked with other agencies. I wish we would have had a choice but Synergy was who the VA required us to work with. If the VA assigns your loved on to Synergy, please advocate for them and demand another agency.

Synergy is horrible for patient care some the workers do not care for patients correctly. Some of the workers are never on time and they leave before finishing their shift. When you call the office on the weekend you can’t never get in contact with staff or the owner. I would never use them again. They don’t care about your love ones. They just there to get a paycheck. This is for people who love other people and if you don’t do not take this job. People depend on your service so they can go to work or run errands for a few hours. Caregiving is a tough job and we need more qualified people to do it and love to do it.
