My dad spent his final years at Loving Care, the caregivers took great care of him. He lost his ability to walk over time, and they helped transfer him with a wheelchair daily so he can spend his time in the living room couch. They did a great job of keeping him clean, fed him well when he can no longer eat on his own, and always keeping him comfortable.

My dad had lived at this facility since February 2020 until his passing last month. He had treated this adult family home as his final home. The owner and the staffers made him comfortable. The owner particularly connected the Chinese TV program into his room, which became his daily joys. As a resident's son, I also feel that the owner and the staffers are very approachable and flexible. By the way, my dad passed away at 90 years young, so he had a happy ending at this facility.

Our grandma lived at Loving Care AFH for just under 5 years. Me, my mom and my sister are all registered nurses and we toured a handful of adult family homes in the local area prior to choosing one.<br><br>We could not have asked for a more capable and compassionate team than Wenny (owner and registered nurse), and her care team Jenny and Eddy. Our family is so grateful to have found such an amazing group to help grandma adjust to her new home away from home. She trusted them and when her dementia made many things overwhelming and hard to understand, they were unwavering in their patience and kindness. Like a broken record - she would always tell us Jenny (her most frequent caregiver) "was a very nice lady." And for better or worse, we knew it was the truth because along with her memory, grandma also lost her filter.<br><br>They were always communicative with our family and the primary care provider - and had a few good catches when she had health setbacks over the years. As a registered RN, Wenny has more education and insight and was able to communicate with her staff and grandma's primary doctor to keep her safe and intervene early. Towards the end of grandma's life, Wenny was also very much so in communication with my mom to clearly understand what grandma's wishes would have been - and kept my mom updated when her health naturally declined - equally important. (Not all adult family home owners are registered nurses so this was an added blessing.)<br><br>Loving Care can house a max of 4 residents. Wenny is sure to create a therapeutic environment for her residents (the floors and kitchen were recently remodeled in the last few years), there is a nice sun porch out back with a small garden and some beautiful fig trees. She bought all her residents new recliners in the time grandma was there. And when grandma first moved in, Wenny painted her room a beautiful soft blue when she learned it was her favorite color to make her feel more welcome. The food always looks VERY appetizing - they have inspired a handful of meals in our household. You can tell that they put a lot of heart into everything they do. Grandma loved their cooking!<br><br>Wenny, Jenny and Eddy care about the details. With her transition to hospice and covid restrictions, they cut her hair and trimmed her nails when we could not take her out. She always had a fresh night gown and clean face. Her room was tidy and they played soothing music. They had a specialty air mattress to help keep her more comfortable and prevent pressure sores. When she was on hospice, they tried to make her as comfortable as possible and their excellent attention to detail really helped to bring our family peace at a difficult time. When she passed, they all shed tears with us and even though we already knew how much they cared - it was comforting to know just how much they cared for her. In the midst of our tears, Eddy made us laugh reminiscing on something funny grandma would have said in the moment and we will never forget it.<br><br>We are forever grateful for the care and compassion the team has shown Grandma - and our family. We have 3 nurses in our immediate family and we can attest to the patience, grace and acts of love they show to all of their residents. They work hard and they treat everyone like family. Wenny, Jenny and Eddy are the best of the best, angels on Earth. We feel so fortunate to have found Loving Care Adult Family Home to help walk grandma to the finish line and give our highest recommendation. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

My brother Gregory was in the Loving Care Adult Family Home for approximately four years and was cared for with love. Whenever I would visit my brother it was apparent that he was well cared for and shown love and attention. I was treated the same way when I visited. I can highly recommend this facility for anyone needing health care.
