Ripped us off for $4,315.00 when my mom moved out. Prior to moving out the meal quality went down . Many of the residents are unhappy and looking for other options.<br>I believe that there was a change in ownership and the quality really went down. Director was verbally abusive to my mother.

My parents joined Sumter Senior Living in October 2025. Though transitioning to an apartment setting was a challenge, they made it work. The staff are dedicated, empathetic, kind and considerate. From Melanie, the wellness director to Brittany, Nithira, Amber and Matthew to the entire care team, thank you! Your devotion to the elderly population is evident and your empathy and compassion are real. You go above and beyond what is deemed necessary. This team of professionals made the transition for my mother to memory care that much better. Finally, Mica Gilles executive leadership skills cannot be matched. She is the backbone of SSL and it shows each and every day. I would recommend SSL for all of your senior care needs, be it independent, assisted living or memory care.

There are many wonderful people who work at Sumter but my experience today with Ty Delgado was really above and beyond. The request was to detach my old TV and attach my new one. For various reasons there were all sorts of challenges, but she was patient with me and efficient in her work, all the time being positive and upbeat. Thank you Ty; you are a real jewel.

The staff at Sumter Senior Living has been beyond amazing through the entire process of starting with a general inquiry to moving in and now daily life. They are kind, always available and very qualified. The facility is extremely clean, the food is delicious with many different options to choose from and the atmosphere feels like resort living. We are very happy to have found a facility that fits all of our needs.
