High turn over of workers<br>They must not pay very well.<br>Looks like they have money they are building new suite living buildings all around the twin cities.<br><br>Dirty rooms<br><br>Now It is 9:00 on a Monday a patient been pushing the bell light to get her morning medicine and she hasn't received it. Every time I go down every one is doing nothing.

06/13/2023 Editing review to include a response to companies response. Regarding review platform: I didnt think the care was at a level for a loved ones final weeks & months. As a family member of the deceased, it's my right to have an opinion. How come 3 of your best 5 star reviews are by employees? If it's such a great platform for your manufactured reviews then unfortunately it goes both ways.<br>Regarding your credentials: How about.. "Thank you for your valued feedback. We strive to make improvements to our service levels each & every day. Sorry for your loss." Let it stick in your head head that a family felt so strongly about the experience that in a time of writing an obituary, planning memorials, & all the myriad of tears; I felt compelled enough to leave a review the same day she passed. Doesn't that speak volumes?<br>Regarding Hospice...The hospice YOU recommended was represented to us as Suite Living Hospice, a sub-division, affiliate, whatever you want to call it. YOU carry brochures in YOUR facility. Nice try. Deflection failed.<br>Regarding care conferences...Lack of oversight towards your staff on their phones & sleeping multiple times is a reflection of poor management. Issues such as feces on the floor, resident sitting soaked in urine, staff slept through 5 hours of medication administration.<br>Regarding not meeting family member needs.. I didn't say anything about my needs not being met. Your response is a clear example of my point. When family mourns the loss of a loved one & says during that time they felt robbed of the final moments because they kept having to deal with multiple issues on the facility side of things, that's a problem. In all of your wisdom and experience you cited what is most sad is your response says my review is "false". If you read the review with an open mind you might see avenues for improvement in policy administration, tactical execution of patient care, quality standards & renewed training opportunities. Good luck.<br><br>Unedited original review: First hand experience at this facility. My mother in law passed away here today. Over the past several weeks and months I have personally observed staff sleeping as well as spending lots of time on social media on their phones. There is a lack of presence of management or supervision here. Our family meeting with staff (and what had been introduced to me as senior management specific to that site) did not yield any results. Management acknowledged maybe it’s time they revisit their cell phone usage policy but it continued to be a problem. Meanwhile, my mother in law had feces on her floor, laying in urine (when catheter should have been ordered), and medications not administered in timely manner. Huge improvements needed for medication administration. Morphine administration is not done via syringe down the back of her throat one after another. It should have been administered in such a way where it dissolved; especially since she was a hospice patient unable to swallow on her own. We watched her choke in her final hours but if that wasn’t enough they administered another pill back to back and did it again. Complete lack or training and follow through to assure that the training was understood and the expected duties are administered correctly. No glove wearing and washing hands before and after medication administration. Also, do not dump urine down the bathroom sink!! The sink smelled like urine. The staff was observed doing this. I do not recommend facility. When confronting management about these issues, management seems resigned as to what to do and acknowledges that there are issues; yet no improvement. CNA was asked why 11:30 medication dose was skipped and the CNA responded with “I don’t want to slam her with it, we just need her to stop breathing”. I don’t know what that means but 1) there is a chain of command that starts with the hospice RN, and they’re the ones that scheduled it and not the CNA. There’s a lot more I could write but bottom line is we did not see consistent, competent, compassionate care from this facility.
