I was very impressed when visiting. We were considering a family member’s care and have been leery about it. I’ve visited 5 facilities. Stratford was by far the best. The Seniors seemed to be having the time of their lives! I was very impressed with their care, the facility, and especially their activities! Wow! I am giving my visit 5 Stars. And this Stratford in OP was tops!

At first, I thought my mom was exaggerating about the poor care here. After flying down to help and seeing things myself, I realized she was not wrong at all…<br>I want to acknowledge the few nurses who genuinely cared and went beyond the basic level of care for my grandmother. They truly deserve recognition. However, unfortunately, there were several staff members who appeared careless, distracted, and inattentive.<br>Our family and friends have visited our grandmother every single day for the past month. On countless mornings when we arrived, we found her without a diaper or pants and completely soaked. We had no idea how long she had even been like that all those times. Not to mention only getting a shower barely two times a week if they even got around to it. This should never happen in a professional care facility.<br>There were also multiple occasions where she had to wait nearly 40 minutes just to be helped to the bathroom. We had to start standing outside the door simply to get staffs attention so someone would come assist her. Our grandmother cannot safely walk on her own, and we can barely lift or carry her ourselves, so waiting that long repeatedly became a serious concern.<br>At night, a monitor is watching her because her memory issues sometimes cause her to forget that she cannot currently walk. She attempts to get up on her own. It also seems that whenever staff say they “stepped away for five minutes,” that is exactly when she ends up falling or is later found on the ground trying to sleep there. It’s truly hard to believe at this point. If she injures or uses her leg again before healing properly, she may lose that leg forever. Tell me how you’d feel about that with your mom or dad or sister..<br>What makes this even worse is that her room is located directly outside the nurses’ station. You think you would expect quick responses especially overnight when family is not present to watch for her safety. But we thought wrong.<br>Again, I want to recognize the nurses who have shown genuine care and compassion. They have gone above and beyond at times for her, and that kindness does not go unnoticed. However, the overall level of care we experienced was inconsistent and disappointing for a facility responsible for vulnerable patients.<br>Watching this happen wass heartbreaking. My mother has had to complain constantly and push almost every day just to make sure our grandmother receives the most basic level of care while trying to heal. Could you imagine how she feels? She has enough good memory to complain herself.. so that tells you a lot.<br><br>Do not let the 4.9 star rating mislead you. If the level of care matched that rating this review wouldn’t be so bad.. and I will constantly watch this review to see if it’s bee removed. I’m not playing.

Unfortunately, this was my dad's last stop. He had been to 3 other places before we found Stratford Commons and my only regret was that this was not my first choice for him. Very friendly and caring staff. Thank you for his short time there.

Limited experience with Stratford Memory Care. Was looking for a facility for my brother, Dash. Unfortunately he passed before finalizing the move. I am the last of 4 brothers. However I felt obligated to post a review as the team at this facility was clearly superior to others we checked. My advice is to check and compare and I believe you will come to the same conclusion. Visit more than one time. You cannot fake genuine care for a loved one.

Everyone is so kind and patient. Facility is nice and clean. Appreciate that there are people we can trust with our loved ones in their most vulnerable times.
