My grandmother was sent here after a fall resulted in a broken shoulder. When she needed help from nursing staff to go to the bathroom overnight, the nursing staff ignored her. When she started yelling in order to get their attention, they yelled back for her to "shut up" and once again refused to help her. When she then wet the bed because she was unable to get to the bathroom, they got angry at her, moved her to a wheelchair in the tv room and made her stay there the rest of the night instead of returning to her bed, so she was unable to sleeep at all. She also requested that staff call her family, and they refused multiple times. When my family arrived the next day and heard what happened, we immediately checked her out and had to sign her out against medical advice. But literally anywhere is better than here. Do not send a loved one to this location, they will be gravely mistreated and ignored.

I was a rehab patient here for a week after a hospital stay for a respiratory infection. The place is fairly new, nice, clean, etc. I had a nice, well-appointed private room. They continued my medications and gave me oxygen, breathing treatments and physical therapy. I received assistance with bathing, etc., and the meals were satisfactory (better than the hospital). Overall, I was quite satisfied with the staff and the care I received. Some things moved slowly, but I think you have to expect some of that; they have a lot to do around here.

If I could leave zero stars, I absolutely would. I do not recommend this facility to anyone or their families. The staff and management were shockingly careless and showed no genuine concern for their patients. My grandmother was only there for about a week. On her second day, my mother and I walked in to find her completely naked on the floor, her arm bent backwards, crying for help. Three nurses were standing over her doing nothing. My mother and her husband were the ones who had to pick her up and put her back into bed. The nurses neither helped nor provided any explanation as to how she ended up on the floor in that condition. When we tried to contact the social worker, our calls and messages went unanswered. We left notes on her door and informed other staff that we were trying to reach her, but she never returned our calls and was “never in the office.” After nearly two weeks of trying, we had to go directly to her office, knock on the door, and demand to speak with her. The situation only got worse. One Sunday morning, we visited and found my grandmother with a large cut on her cheek, a chunk of skin missing, and noticeable swelling. When we asked the staff what happened, no one had any idea. No one could explain it, and no one had contacted us. The head nurse was unable to provide any answers. That was our last straw. We removed my grandmother from the facility that same day. This was supposed to be a place where she would receive care and therapy, but they failed her completely. The environment felt like, “We just work here—everyone fend for themselves.” this place is depressing. Families deserve better. Patients deserve dignity, supervision, and proper care.

My 84yr old father is receiving physical therapy at Sterling Oaks. He is still very weak, however in just a few days, I have noted how his physical condition has improved. He has a long way to go to but I can already appreciate the upswing in his stamina and energy. Ms. Raja, his therapist, has been very supportive and kind. Her interaction with my father is outstanding and I am grateful for her patience and care in my father’s recovery.

I am a performer who sings songs several times per year at Sterling Oaks, so I get to view all the residents and interact with a lot of them. They appear to be happy and well taken care of. Theresa, the activity director, does a terrific job of planning entertainment events for the residents (I play at numerous facilities in the Katy area, and I can comment first-hand that I have not seen such creativity for residents anywhere else), and none of the residents have ever commented to me that they were not properly tended to. I’m attaching a photo of our “Pirate’s Day” themed performance, which was Theresa’s idea.
