NEW, first time experience! Nasty rude and unprofessional miserable. The admissions and the administrator were very miserable people. My family reached out inquiring about a long-term care admission into the facility. The admissions department was the worst. My family stated the administration was even worser. It appears they did not want to admit my family member until they were guaranteed she was approved for LTC., to assure them the money. They wanted someone else to do your work and they receive the benefit. However, after reading the reviews, I think that it was God sent, that I did not put our family member in that place. Don’t be fooled by location. and outer appearance. You’ll find that the inside of the gut is rotten, stink and trash, and I’m referring to the administration, the nasty rude unpleasant experience that my wife received and inquiring about an admission. what we believe we’ve experienced was called racial financial bias. The nerve when your reviews says nothing good about your facility. Thank God, we got a sign.

I am really disappointed with how my loved one was treated while at Stella Maris. From nurses not answering her call lights to the food that was being served. To tell the patient that they are too understaffed to answer her call light is not acceptable. It is clear they cannot take care of the patients properly if they are unable to answer call lights especially in an emergency. I hope they will try to improve on their services and professionalism.

If you truly care about the CARE your loved one is receiving just make a pop-up visit at this facility. My mother has been at this facility for two weeks as I sit and watch the staff struggle to keep up with the day-to-day care of the patients It’s heartbreaking and when you question the deficiencies, the answer is I’m so sorry but we’re understaffed!!!For a facility to be this understaffed is sad. Why except new admissions if you do not have enough staff to care for them.?!! Popped in to check on my mother one evening around 645 7 PM. The refrigerator was locked and she had no access to water.. Another day stop by in the morning. They were so short staffed when therapy showed up to do her therapy visit. She was not up and ready and when I asked why they stated that there is no set schedule for therapy now how exactly does that work?!! No, I’m not expecting any place to be perfect but to be that short staff and it’s always an issue I would say hire more staff. I’m so glad the journey with this facility is almost over!

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this rehabilitation as a place to bring your loved one. My father was there for approximately a week and a half, and his needs were not met a huge safety issue. My sister found him one morning in a chair in agonizing pain occupational therapy put him in the chair. He informed the occupational therapist that his pain level was at 10 and he said he would get his nurse And an hour and a half later, she walks in and he’s in agonizing pain and no one has responded. I placed a call in the nurse manager, and the issue was addressed. Pain needs are not met. One of his nurses actually retaliated against him a 97-year-old man because she was angry that I went to administration. The five patient rights are not met at this facility!

Dear Stella Maris Team, I would like to sincerely thank all of the staff at Stella Maris for the exceptional, top-tier care my husband received during his stay in the Subacute Rehab Unit on floor 1P. My husband is 46 years old and suffered a stroke, and during one of the most difficult times in our lives, every single person we encountered made an unforgettable impact. From management, social work, and the physicians, to the entire rehab department, nurses, GNAs, and even the housekeeping staff — every individual showed compassion, professionalism, and genuine care. The kindness, respect, and dignity shown to my husband — and to me — went far beyond what we ever expected. The love and support I received as his wife was truly phenomenal. I have worked in a nursing home for over 20 years, and I can honestly say this is the most considerate, polite, and caring group of professionals I have ever encountered. Please know that your work does not go unnoticed. What you do matters, and it changes lives. Our family will always be grateful for the care, dedication, and humanity you showed us during this journey. With deepest appreciation and gratitude, Sondrai Brown
