About St. Francis Medical Center Home Health

St. Francis Medical Center Home Health is a home health and hospice provider serving Monroe, Louisiana. The organization delivers nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and related in-home care for patients recovering from surgery, illness, or managing chronic conditions.

Clinical staff, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and aides, consistently earn praise from families for their expertise, professionalism, and compassion. Patients and their relatives highlight specific caregivers by name, noting their skill in post-surgical recovery, their encouraging demeanor during rehabilitation, and their genuine care. One family wrote of therapists who brought "expertise, compassion and humor" to recovery after stroke. Many families who have used the service over years or across multiple patient episodes report strong continuity and clinical quality.

Management and administrative responsiveness emerge as significant concerns in multiple reviews. Families describe inconsistent communication about care plans, perceived retaliation when questions are raised, and a management tone that some experienced as unprofessional or dismissive. Staffing and coordination between clinical team members have also been flagged as areas needing attention.

St. Francis holds a 4 out of 5 Google rating across 21 reviews. The split between high ratings for frontline care and lower ratings tied to administration and coordination suggests strong clinical foundation alongside operational friction points.

I Have Many Concerns About The Patient Care Here! My mother is a client here unfortunately and although the nurses give exceptional care, the Admin/ Director has a nasty attitude and treats her clients as if she has the authority to put them in nursing homes etc. which I don't like the fact she threateneds them with that if they don't comply with what she wants. One thing about it you don't do that to clients, they have enough things going on with them then to have this held over their head is absurd. Rhonda is rude, and honestly she doesn't need to be over anyone with that attitude. I will be getting to the bottom of this situation! State will be called also the BBB will be informed of her behavior! This is unacceptable. I suggest you all find another home health agency because this one is not a good choice especially if Rhonda is over the program.

My grandmother is diabetic and had a procedure removing part of her foot. Supposedly, the LPN she sees has been upset that another nurse comes more Regularly to tend to my Grandmother’s open wounds. Grandmother called St Francis Home Health and spoke with Ronda Morris. Ms. Morris told her that her office would call the doctor and get grandma’s days reduced, suggesting she get someone to help her change the bandages - although she is aware that grandma lives alone, And appropriate placement of materials requires independent assistance. Ms. Morris’s suggestions are not in the best interests of the patient she is hired to serve, and I will follow up on this review with a grievance.

My mother has had several surgeries and St. Francis Home Health has a few nurses that have been awesome. However, the management team, especially a lady named, Rhonda, has terrible customer service. Rhonda, if you are going to be in management, I suggest you learn how to speak to people with a professional and soft tone. It is the families and individuals that need home care that keep you in a job. Public, I will try to reach out again to Rhonda and get to the bottom of why MY mother was spoken too in such a way that it warranted me getting involved. I will also be filing a grievance against this company, as well as a grievance with the BBB. Our elderly deserve respect, and we will get it. I hope that whoever is above Rhonda will read this and look into her treatment of individuals in your care!!

I just wanted to take a minute to give a big Thank You to the awesome team that worked with my Mother when she had her stroke . Raul Africa, Chelsea Shows and Allison Williamson you guys were great. Your expertise, compassion and humor made such a difference. Each session was a step forward and she's still getting better. Thank you for everything (even the oatmeal)!

Understaffed, Retallitory, if you have the education to confirm or confront any opinionated information. She documents lies about incidents that are of concern.
Late often , smells like cigarettes. Not accustom to advocates knowledgeable of client rights, treatment planning.
Never met or saw the DON except communication on the phone. Leadership is not available when needed. When I did speak to her she was aggressive with poor customer service skills..poor choice
