My husband developed Covid with pneumonia even after being vaccinated. He went to the hospital and then ended up at our local Spring Hills facility in Matawan. My husband felt that he received good care from the nurses. I was particularly worried because he was so weak from pneumonia that he fell off our bed! Then the antibiotic he took dehydrated him and<br>he fell on my bedroom floor after using the restroom. He was placed In Spring Hills after a second trip to the hospital. He has a job where he’s on his feet all day. He had three weeks of physical therapy. By the time he was released from the rehab he was back to his old level of mobility and is back to work. I’m thankful that the therapists worked so hard with him that he was able to return to his regular daily life. The only thing he felt needed improvement was the food. But that’s the least of it. My mother resided there for almost seven years. I was very happy with the care she received when she was in the assisted living area. She was included in all the activities and the staff was very nice and respectful. Her nursing care was also wonderful. She developed a relationship with the nurses where she was able to feel safe and cared for. After a few years she had to be moved to the memory care unit where she received one on one care. The nurses and care takers were wonderful. After she passed on April 6th we were supposed to receive a credit from her room and board charges. Till this day I have not received the credit from her account even after several phones calls and email messages. I don’t know how a mutual respectful relationship can change so quickly.<br><br>Update…it took eight months with several emails and phone calls to corporate plus reaching out to Camden County to be sure that her Medicaid account was settled,then I received the credit.<br>Overall Spring Hills was a good fit for my mom.

I have been trying to call the corp ofc for 5 weeks now. No one will return my call. When my mom was in one of their facilities, I rarely got a call back from them either. Guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Disgusting! We are entrusting our family to them.

My husband was a resident briefly in January 2019. I was there daily and witnessed a lack of care and supervision. The care he did receive was sporadic. There were errors in his medication and there was not a Plan of Care in place. After 5 days I brought him home. I would never recommend any Spring Hills Community.
