The conditions that led to me finding Southern Magnolia were awful: my family was under a lot of strain dealing with the sudden decline of my beloved grandfather. I spoke to no less than 15 homes and facilities in my search and found varying degrees of helpfulness and kindness. Every interaction I had with Candy, from the first phone call to the last one, was calming. She and her team are so knowledgeable and caring. She gave me information I didn’t know I needed and suggested things for my grandfather I would not have thought to get. She also validated and reassured me at a time when I was stressed, confused, and exhausted. She and her husband Mike went above and beyond with both of my grandparents: they let us visit at 8pm because they knew we were in an urgent situation, they explained everything patiently and clearly, and when my grandfather passed, they were both there to comfort my grandmother. Their team made his final day comfortable and while I am devastated that he is gone, I could not have dreamed of a better place for him to pass. If there is a spot open here for your loved one, take it. This home was designed with care in mind, and you won’t find anything better.

Working with Candy and the team at Magnolia Southern Living was truly a blessing during one of the most difficult seasons of our lives. They were knowledgeable, compassionate, kind, and incredibly gentle with my mother during the final chapter of her life.

From the moment my mother moved in, it was clear that this was more than a care facility—it felt like a home. When I came to check on her after her move, I was touched to see the small details and personal touches in her room that made it feel warm, welcoming, and comfortable. I very much appreciated the care they took to help her settle in and feel at home.

Candy and her staff created an environment that was both supportive and dignified, making the transition into palliative care far less overwhelming than we imagined possible. They treated my mother with respect, patience, and genuine care, while also providing comfort and guidance to our family.

Their approach was fair, humane, and deeply compassionate. I am profoundly grateful for the care they provided and would wholeheartedly recommend Magnolia Southern Living to any family navigating end-of-life care for a loved one.

I discovered Southern Magnolia Living after pulling my Dad out of a large facility in Cary. It was our luck that an opening had just become available, so I immediately took the opportunity. I am so fortunate to have found such a loving, beautiful place for Dad. Candy and Mike Moore (owners) welcomed my Dad and made him feel comfortable from day one. He felt right at home from the moment he arrived. The entire staff is amazing, and they care for my Dad as they would their own family member. Having only 6 residents in the home, they are able to provide quality time that is unmatched in a larger facility. The staff cooks the daily meals in the open kitchen, adding to the feel of home. My Dad, who had always intended to live in his own home, is now in the next best place and I will be forever grateful to Candy and Mike for creating this special space for those who are no longer able to live on their own.

My heart is overflowing with gratitude, and I can’t adequately convey the level of confidence and appreciation I have for Ms Candy and her staff.

To say that my family went from fear to peace as God unfolded this gift to mom and to each of us feels like such an understatement. Thank you for the amazing care you have given mom and our family.

There cannot be a better senior care facility than this one. The staff is fully attentive to every detail. They treat the residents with the utmost respect and care. In a very short period of time, we felt like they were our family. We felt comfortable to come and visit any time, and we knew that our loved one was in great hands while we were away. I cannot say enough good things about this facility, the staff, and the level of care which far surpasses other facilities.
