After my wife passed away I felt my future was over. I entered a deep period of depression. My Doctor and both my sons advised me to get of the house and meet people. I was familiar with Solvang Retirement since my wife’s parents resided there for years and I had an Aunt there. I toured most of the retirement facilities in the area and came to the conclusion Solvang had the warm friendly feeling of a family. The entire staff are my new family along with many new close friends. If you want to feel as I do, please come by. You won’t regret it.

As a family we have trusted Solvang with 3 family members over the past 15+ years. My mom, Joni currently lives at Solvang and loves it. She feels safe living there, enjoys daily meals in the dining room and has made many friends. Mom has played games throughout the past 4+ years until her vision has made it too difficult. The whole staff at Solvang are fantastic! It's obvious they care about all the residents. I'm so happy we chose Solvang for our mom.

My name is Pam Miller. I have lived at Solvang for about a year and a half and I just love it here the staff I cannot say enough good things about and the people here are just a lot of fun to be around. There’s just lots of activities and anytime you need any kind of help there’s always someone there to help you. I am so happy that I moved here.

On my first day at Solvang, I felt comfortable and safe. Two years later, nothing has changed. What is it about this place? Sure, the food is good. Sure, I love my apartment. Sure, my neighbors are warm and friendly. But most of all it’s the staff — helpful, available, kind and competent. I’m so fortunate to have made Solvang my home!

The management team and staff at Solvang Independent Retirement Living are top notch! They go above and beyond to meet not just the needs of their residents, but their guests needs as well. You really are treated like family here and it warms my heart to know that my mom gets such exceptional care and has found her forever home, here at Solvang 💕
