Evergreen Memory Care

Evergreen Memory Care is a memory care community in Eugene, Oregon, offering specialized care for adults with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other forms of memory loss. Nurses and care partners provide support 24 hours a day in a warm setting designed specifically for residents' unique needs, with each person receiving individual attention from an encouraging team.

The community operates as part of the Evergreen Senior Living Campus of Care, located across the street from independent cottages and assisted living services. Care is delivered through a person-centered approach, with holistic assessments conducted in partnership with families to empower residents, improve quality of life, enhance dignity, and promote independence and well-being.

Evergreen Memory Care offers specialized programming and therapeutic approaches including Validation Therapy to maintain self-esteem and meet basic human needs. The community provides Music Makes Memories™, a program that stimulates the limbic brain and helps residents maintain a sense of self and purpose, and Tiny Stories™, which records residents' personal stories in audio format to preserve their legacies. Attention is paid to nutrition, physical activity, social engagement, and cognitive stimulation.

The community emphasizes regular human interaction and daily programming to engage residents and minimize withdrawal, along with elder well-being monitoring and communication with families and healthcare providers. This approach allows families to focus on spending quality time together rather than managing daily care needs.
