Checked in for nursing care and was assigned a joint room that looked like a 1960 motel. The bathroom was dirty, the stool was broken and moved when you tried to sit on it ! Prior to accepting me as a resident the Louisville Hospital verified with with Signature that they had the supplies and expertise to support me after surgery. Upon arrival. … neither were true. Staff were dressed like homeless people and were not rude but very direct and uncaring. I checked out the same day since I refused to stay one night in this dirty, poorly staffed and aging facility.

My 82 year old dad who has dementia, and Alzheimer’s was in rehab for several weeks. What was the most important to me was Dad’s safety and his happiness. His safety has been an issue for the staff providing care for him, because he was always moving around. Every time that he created a new challenge for the staff, they met it head on, and addressed the situation to make the environment safe for him again. As for his happiness, he told me he loved it there, because he had a lot of people to talk to. He said the staff was always kind and very helpful. And they were always feeding him good meals. Most of the staff has been very kind, considerate, courteous, and informative. The staff answered my questions and addressed my concerns without making me feel like I was imposing on them. Dad received Physical Therapy while he was there, They were very kind to him and very patient with him. They were very kind and informative to me whenever I had questions or concerns about Dads progress. I am happy with the care that Dad received while he was there. His daughter Rebecca Shultz

This is an older facility so you may think ahh I’m not sure about this. Well the staff here are great, the care is too. My Husband spent about 7 months here and he was happy. The staff did not wait for him to have a problem they were good at anticipating his needs. They all seemed to go that extra step to see to his emotional and physical well being. I can’t say enough about this staff. Another. place they excelled was communication, I was always told about any changes in condition, medications etc promptly and my calls and questions were answered right away. And finally they made it easier for me to deal with this time in our lives. They were open and supportive about his condition and what to expect! So…Thank you all! Judy M. Wells
