There are two angels here on Earth working at Colonial Estates who have found their calling in life... Rebecca and Melinda. They took excellent care of my wife the short time she was at Colonial Estates. They helped guide our daughter and me through the end of life process with incredible passion. Thank you Rebecca and Melinda, and thank you Colonial Estates and all of your excellent staff! Thomas family

My mom was in Shawnee Colonial Estates Nursing & Rehab for 6 weeks for rehab because of a broken leg. I have only praise and thanks for the staff of this facility. They were AMAZING! From administration to nurses, nurse aids, and housekeeping they were all wonderful. My mother wasn't in a hurry to leave (that says a lot!), she felt loved and cared for. She was never dirty, always attended to quickly, her room was clean, she was bathed, and she had wound care that had to be changed twice daily. The facility never smelled and was always clean. In addition, they worked very hard for me in dealing with the insurance company. I can't thank them enough for going above and beyond for me and my family. These are the words that I would use to describe the staff: Skilled, professional, attentive, kind, helpful, knowledgeable, compassionate, patient, caring and fun! I highly recommend this facility if you need rehab or long term care in the Shawnee area. The one recommendation I would give to the owner's of this facility, you could improve on the quality of the food. My mother didn't have any complaints (and I guess that's most important), however, me and my family agree the food/menu has room for improvement. But, I wouldn't let that stop you from using this facility because the level of care and compassion wins in this situation. Blessings to all of you at Colonial Estates!

I have lived here at Colonial Estates Nursing Home for about 9 months...I am treated very well by all the Staff and Residents, too. God has Blessed me so very much here, and even though I have only one leg, I am the happiest man alive, because I have such a wonderful Home and am very well cared for by a very competent Staff.
