So I am super disappointed with the staff of this place, very unkind, rude and very careless for the residence. My child and some other students and their teacher visited this establishment today to spend time with and play games with some of the older folks up there. From what I was told the staff was super rude and unkind to the students. Maybe don't invite students to your establishment if you really don't want them there, I don't appreciate how you're staff treated my child.

Yesterday I went to visit my mother at Sharon Lane. I was greeted by a very polite young lady receptionist who was very helpful and gave me directions to my mother’s room. When I got to my mom’s room she was being tended to by a very polite nurse. Midway through my visit another nurse came in to check on my mom that nurse was also very friendly and helpful. My mother who spent several years working at St. Mary’s Hospital during her career was very complimentary about the entire staff at Sharon Lane. Being a Chef and Dietary manager- I am very familiar with facilities like Sharon Lane. I managed 2 senior living facilities for over a decade. My impression of Sharon Lane - it’s a very clean and well maintained facility. The staff are all professional, friendly and polite. I was also impressed to see the administrator working on the weekend. Thank you, for taking such great care of my mother and for giving me and my family such peace of mind.

I highly suggest not going to this place. The owner Connie just called threatening me to get me arrested after my ex wife made it a point for me to go there to drop off and pick up our son. Let it be known a lot of people working there are in KDADS with employment prohibition on file. This place will be shut down soon once they get audited because they don’t do background checks on their employees. If you have had a loved one go here and need someone to testify please let me know, I’ll gladly testify on your behalf. Do not let your loved ones go here.

Sharon Lane is where healthcare professionals in Kansas City send their families members. Skilled or Long Term Care- Sharon Lane is a top notch facility with excellent care. Personally, if a loved one needs care, I recommend Sharon Lane.

Our mother spent approximately 6 months at this facility. They seemed to use medicating as a way to control residents and started giving our mother something to make her sleep about 20 hours a day without telling anyone in the family. Many of the aides that worked there were very wonderful and caring and took good care of our mother. The activities group was also very good and proactive. The kitchen staff was also great and very caring with the residents; they also provided very good meals. However, some of the staff were rude and not helpful at all, especially those in management. One of the therapists hung up on us when we called to get a status on our mother. We did not find the nursing staff management to be communicative or particularly knowledgeable.
