Never should the house cleaning do a job for the CNA. Housecleaning is not the job to clean p..p, or any bodily substance. They are not trained and not paid the same. If this is not addressed, then it needs to go a step further.

Shady Oaks Nursing Home in Moulton is a gem in the Lavaca/Fayette County area. My Dad who has Dementia has thrived there and is continuing to do very well. Even though Shady Oaks is an older establishment, the facility is top notch due to its great staff that have the residents as their number one priority. Also, the small town of Moulton which it resides, is a major part in the of the caring attitude including the facility and its residents as part of the community. Recently, I had become very concerned about Shady Oaks from not the excellent staff standpoint, but from the ownership itself. Professional and compassionate care should be in all nursing home mission statement and as you research into them, they all mention the great care they provide. Creative Solutions, the owner of Shady Oaks and many other facilities in the country have the same similar mission statement as stated by the owner Gary Blake himself on their website. Recently there have been cooperate directives that have negatively impacted the staff and their ability to effectively do the responsibilities of providing the needs of the residences. Presently, the level of care has not diminished, and the staff is doing their best in all aspects to provide excellent care needed for my dad and the rest of the residences. I tried to add to this review the letter to Mr. Blake on my concerns, but it was to many characters, I will try on another post
