Do your research. I am sure they have some good caregivers, but after having to deal with one that was not good, a snowbird from the St Louis area, I would be really careful with this company. He is not good with certain types of dementia, and their people should be trained much better than they are. Once you hire him, you are told that they are in control of your loved one, not you.

SHS is a wonderful company and service. With the boomer generation getting older, they are an absolute necessity. Many times seniors are approached by those that do not relate nor care for them as SHS can. Being assisted by someone who understands your needs as well as able to carry on a conversation about common interests and generational stories goes far beyond what common care can. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for aid for their loved ones.

I’ve seen first hand how Seniors Helping Seniors can remove the stress and worries that evolve when a loved one needs support to remain in their own home. When hospice was called in for our client, SHS provided such great support, education and companionship. The actual compassion and concern the OWNER has for the senior population is amazing as she will personally provide care for any client if necessary. SHS caregivers are just like family.

We have used Seniors Helping Seniors for my mother who is 96 years old for about five years. My mother lives on her own and at times has needed minimal help and at other times we’ve had to add hours. She’s had a consistent caregiver for most of that time and this woman Jeanne is very devoted to my mother. At times when we have had to add care due to a setback, all of the caregivers that were sent to help were delightful, mature, responsible, and reliable. The agency has been incredibly easy to work with and very willing to make adjustments as needed. I have always felt very secure in knowing that they have my mother’s best interest in mind and sincerely love doing what they do.
