Any time we have had to call them for my uncle they refuse to call an ambulance, even at the times where he has hit his head hard from falling. They want their on call nurse to come but when my family had to wait 40 minutes for the on call nurse we decided to call 911. We waited due to their program guidelines. When the paramedics got there they thought he should go as well but the on call doctor said that they couldn't take him. This was almost an hour and 15 minutes after he had fallen and hit his head. I called the doctor and explained that I didn't understand how they could make an assumption that he was fine without being here and it wasn't until I told her he was going that she approved it. PACE helps in ways but definitely do not give the care that is needed.

I would give them a zero if I could. For in home care for my grandma. She didn't have a issue with any of them but I will say most of them don't care about your pets or the fact when someone is bed ridden and they cannot lock a door up that has a key for them. They expect you to put up your pets. They don't care that someone could have came in our house and killed us. Also didn't

The location and Dr. matters! The Kalamazoo location is much better than Battle Creek location. While we were at Kalamazoo with Dr.Halley he was super tentative to my fathers needs. He wanted to hear from myself and my family as well as my dad. He did all sorts of assessments and would call me back quickly regarding my dad’s care. If there was an emergency his nurses were on it and really cared! Unfortunately, my dad had to move to Battle Creek and switch PACE doctors. Now there is zero communication. They sometimes call you back during medical emergencies and your voice is not really heard. If you try contacting the doctor you will not get a call back for some time. They don’t write things down or remember what’s being talked about when you do get ahold of them. If you want them to know something you'll have to remind them and repeat yourself over and over. You start to feel like a nuisance when you’re just trying to get your loved one the correct care. Super frustrating! Although I appreciate the help with my dad, I wish the Battle Creek location had the same care as Kalamazoo. They could make some improvements.

Great service for special needs family. Arrangement for transportation, medical care and food. My brother enjoys interaction with patients that go to the center. Great problem solvers for any of my brothers health issue. Would recommend to everyone facing family health issues.

I had the opportunity to tour this facility and was amazed at what a wonderful community resource this place is for the elderly. Being from a state that does not offer a PACE program, I was thrilled to see such a comprehensive program for seniors. Each employee I spoke with showed such passion for enriching the quality of life for seniors. I hope the community recognizes what a wonderful benefit they have with this center. I would not hesitate to have my own family participate in such a program. Being an emergency room nurse, I often witness the neglect and terrible conditions the elderly are left in when they have no support that facilities such as this offer. I hope other states would learn from this model.
