My wife, Karen, lived at Second Home Senior Living for 19 months. It was a really good spot for her. The staff were excellent. They truly cared about each of the residents there and took great care of them. They made the place feel like home. They were also great cooks. I often wanted to stay for lunch just from the smells coming out of the kitchen. Karen was at a different facility with an 8:1 caregiver ratio for 11 months and she lost 16 lbs during that time. She gained it all back at Second Home in eight months. The 4:1 caregiver ratio at Second Home is difference making. The staff also have a great sense of humor which helps when you are a family member visiting your spouse. Karen passed away in May. Second Home made the last 19 months of her life as good as it could have been and I owe them a lot for that. If you are looking for a facility that feels like home, Second Home is a great choice.

Even though my Mom wasn’t here very long, it didn’t take long for us to feel like family. Mom got exceptional, kind and loving care from the staff and homemade meals daily. Even the owner was caring and attentive to details. Situated in a lovely setting for residents to enjoy watching nature, the home was cozy and warm. Our family would highly recommend Second Home and our only regret is that we didn’t find it sooner.

Clean friendly home like environment with beautiful outdoor area. They have fitness instructor come out 1-2 times a week to keep them active and moving.

Second Home provides the ideal, superlative care environment for my parent, as close to the that of her original home as is possible, given her substantial care needs. The staff at Second Home create a care system that is far superior to our family’s experience with previous large corporate care facilities ( that did not meet her individual emotional and physical needs).
