My dad had a multi week stay at Seacoast after a fall and it was a very good experience. Great care. Clear and professional updates on his progress. Good food. This is a top notch facility filled with people who truly care.

Staff is professional and above all, kind and caring. This care and kindness extends not only to residents, but to those who are responsible for residents (I am POA and HP for a resident who is a longtime friend). I could not be more grateful to the wonderful staff at Seacoast as they guide my friend/resident and myself on this journey.

I literally cannot say Better things about Seacoast. They have treated for my 91 year old mother with love, respect and tenderness. I am eternally grateful for the heroes at Seacoast. This has been an immense generosity for my mother, me and my family. THANK YOU!!

After being abruptly evicted from her apartment, due to no fault of her own, we needed a place for my 92 year old mom. Thanks to Kathy in administration for helping me navigate all of the “things”. She referred me to a wonderful advocate who was instrumental in helping us through the Mass Health System. It was a huge transition for mom and me. Joe Schjetne, the charge nurse for her floor, was amazing! He guided, soothed and listened to mom and me. He encouraged mom to speak up for herself, and to join in activities. Im going to miss Joe!!!!!! Gigi, activities director is amazing too!!! Her and her staff really know how to get people engaged. Mom is terribly disappointed with the good, but we try to supplement the best we can.

On Red Sox opening day, 4/4/25,my mother was admitted to Seacoast Nursing and Rehab Center. A volunteer group, Friends of Seacoast, sponsored a Red Sox opening day party, and I immediately saw that many people make the residents of Seacoast feel welcome and supported as part of the Gloucester community.Later during the month we relaxed in a beautiful on site garden with its own goldfish pond. Anyone would agree that this volunteer creation is a beautiful space. Thankfully, Kathleen Jones Menesale, director of Admissions and Marketing helped us every step of the way. It took us over a month to pull together all the moving parts:hospitals, rehab, a flight to Massachusetts while caring for her Covid and injuries, and the emotions of leaving her Florida home. Thank you Mrs. Menesale! She is kind, patient, professional and knowledgeable. To summarize, she is excellent at what she does.! Another important aspect of nursing home living is the food served. This is one area my mother raves about. She was admitted at 92 pounds , and is currently on her way to gaining her pre-admission weight. In addition, there is an array of activities available every day. Each resident is able to choose many options. The OTs do their own thorough assessment to learn about the resident and they are open to new ideas. Each month a new calendar is printed for each resident with the activities offered. From talented musicians, literature, to black jack and bingo, there is something for everyone. Moreover, our family was able to host a party for my mother in a wonderful recreation room for just that purpose. Four of her siblings attended including her sister who also resides at Seacoast. All of them in their nineties, they attended with other family members. Today, my mother has been living at Seacoast for 24 days. In time, I hope she will feel like the nursing home reflects the wonderful community of Gloucester, and a place she can call home. To summarize, my hope is that others who may be facing this type of challenge will take a serious look at Seacoast. What I have experienced is a well maintained physical structure and professional management in each department. Any issues, problems or concerns will be handled by experienced professionals who will listen to the family's and resident's questions and concerns. They want their residents to feel safe and secure. Seacoast's goal is to strive and always improve.
