Why left Gen care- Scriber Gardens

In order of importance and why we decided to move. These all have been communicated with not only the executive director but also the peak manager. Multitudes of emails, multitudes of meetings and still not one change in 4 years.

Safety and security
I have arrived multiple times where there is no one at the front door, and people are just coming and going.
I have arrived dozens of times to find the back door to the peak memory Care area open. And yes I have emailed multiple times The peak manager when I see this. With photo and timestamps.
Multiple people have been let go for various reasons, I'm not privy to all of those. However not a single code has been changed coming in and out of the building. For example you could arrive at 11:00 at night and come in the back door which is often unlocked or the back door to peak which the code is posted inside for all to know. You could also come in that back door to peak roam around for 15 to 20 minutes before anybody even notices you're there, again I've been here for 4 years and seen this happen numerous times.
About a single camera or safety security option for the entire building. There have been multitudes of incidents from the van being stolen by homeless people, to homeless people wandering in the front door yet not a single thing has been changed in 4 years even though I've had at least three meetings discussing this with management.
Lack of anyone in charge quite frequently.
Very frequently you arrive and there is no executive manager. Frequently you arrive and there is no peak manager. Difficult to sometimes even find a nurse.
When you're in a facility that has amenities that you are paying for yet you don't get those.
One frequent example before we moved: I asked why the people from peak were no longer being taken to the events, like a singer or happy hour. I was told directly to my face from the peak manager, I don't have time. I said Well is not that what they are paying for? And is that not your job? And she literally huffed and walked away from me.
Paying for amenities to not receive them is equivalent to stealing.
Oh and we're going to up your rent because of the amenities coming up real soon, again but we're not going to give anything more.
We've been requesting an in-house doctor for over a year. Filled out forms. Worked with all the powers that be, and still not completed.
Care staff has decided that everyone in peak should stay in a wheelchair. Your care manager is not a nurse and definitely not a doctor. She should not be in charge of dictating horrible advice like this. You take someone who can move just fine, they have one fall and then you relegate them to a wheelchair. Anyone in physical therapy, any doctor, anyone who knows anything about healing, will tell you that this leads to loss of muscle, and increased fall risk.
Food! When we moved here as a nutritionist one of the selling points was how your website and your company speaks to high quality nutritional food. The number of times I've arrived to see macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes and a roll for dinner is an excusable. Again I have sent photos and requested salads, fruits, vegetables and I'm frequently told people in peak get the same food. The numbers of photos I have show a drastic difference than that.
Again we are paying a significant amount of money. Why can the people not have a salad? A small little green leaf salad with some tomatoes?

One of the only reasons it took me 6 months to commit to moving, the residents. Amazing amazing people. I will miss all of the people that I connected with, and discuss dementia over the years.

Everyone so nice! Residents seemed happy. Staff seemed cheerful. Rooms were nice. Only disappointment was no wifi/internet free in rooms. Seems like a potential security risk to have it available only in lobby

I have nothing but positive things to say about this community. From the food, to activities, to the management. Everyone on that team is nothing but kind and goes above and beyond for their residents. Every tour is informational, And you don’t feel pressured when moving in! I give this community a 10 out of 10!
